It is embarassing to have a defunct company's logo on our unfilled panels. Methinks part of the difficulty in selling panels is precisely because the panels aren't filled. If nobody else is looking to put their product up there, why should I?
It's sad, really...

I don't think that the case Dooms. I think they have not had a aggressive marketing person to go after and sell those panel cut deal do whatever to get them filled. And you have to go after companies that knows we will buy there products. For instance Bo jangle there is no reason they should not be there as much as we support them, Food Lion and Churches chicken too. I am not stereotyping us so please don't get upset but we need money and I would rather make a couple thousand from Food lion than to see those panel empty making couple of $0.00

I have some great ideas if A&T wants them! and yes it would help increase sales, have to mention where you saw the ad or something like that.... let me stop... someone give me a call and get this thang started!!!

I am joking above. Getting corporate sponsorship is a difficult job and I know I couldn't do it but this is not my profession. There are a couple of people who are getting pretty good salaries plus commission (for one of them, I understand) to find sponsorships for the A&T's athletic deparment. If Dr. Martin is satisfied with these two top individuals, then someone bless Martin on paying off that Press Box without taking money from the athletic department or delaying increased infusion of money into the athletic programs.

Well...having done it in another (smaller) market, I will tell you that "it ain't easy at all." And I won't pretend to pass judgement on the person with that responsibility at A&T. But there are some rules to live by: 1) Sell whatever you can for a fair price & make multi-year deals; 2) Whatever you can't sell, use as trade; 3) Whatever you can't trade or sell, give to service organizations; 4) Keep your board up-to-date at all times; 5) Have no empty panels on gameday; A&T is in a tough market and in a brutal economy. Tobacco companies and the sex industry are off-limits, and alcohol companies are really cutting back their spending. The core targets are now: a) Banks b) Insurance companies c) Telecommunications companies d) Car dealerships e) Hospitals f) Sports Injury Clinics g) Grocery stores Here's a thought: If A&T can find one local black attorney or law firm to purchase a spot on that board, every black attorney and law firm in the area will be lining up to get a piece of that action!

Excellent, excellent, excellent points aggierattler and proff.
I'm all for giving people the chance to improve before firing them, but I'm unable to understand how Coach Lee, Wheels, and Space could be canned, but whoever is supposed to get those panels filled still has a job.
Any company headquartered in Greensboro should have a slot up there. The empty/outdated panels give the image that nobody wants to sell via the panels. Plus it just looks bad. Like having a nice house with torn up paint.

ONE of these two folks who is in charge of getting the big bucks has not REALLY produced, in my opinion, since he has been in or near that position. I don't understand why "Big Harold" keeps going for the "okie doke." This brutha talks a good game but I don't see tangible results that "T' needs and is looking for!!!

I most definitely agree with rattler!!! Money talks and b**l s**t talks!!! Rattler exposed the correct info for a REAL hustler to put it down. The thing about the law firm makes sense. My man told me the advertising board right outside Aggie Stadium has one law firm on one side and another on the other side. My thing is if your job is about getting money, then GET US PAID MY N*G!!!!!

ISP in Winston. Hire them and pay them the peoples salaries who are in place now. Easy fix IMG College (formerly ISP) won't cut it for that little bit of money, dude. FAMU Athletics is paying IMG College $250,000 to market only three (3) of their football games!! It includes a salaried person located on-campus. What you are talking about for A&T to do will cost about $550,000 per year.
