That is a losing formula. You need to establish building blocks. You have scene what the other QB's bring to the table and it is not acceptabel. We have a scene what two of the other QB's can do 4sure . Hooker has not played . So don't say all .

Yeah nothing KJ has done has warranted him time on the bench. The kid is a dynamic weapon that defenses have to account for plain and simple. He would have had his 3rd rushing TD last Saturday if it wasn't for the fumble in the end zone. The kid is playing his first year of college ball and is the only QB who has the poise to stay in the pocket, and the wheels to break containment if need be. He just needs help around him to make plays. We need to let him grow in this offense, he's the only one that gives me confidence at that position. Of the 3 that have played . White is the only one I have confidence in 4sure. Hell I have more Confidence in Hooker then Eli & Yeager and he hasn't seen the field this season ,basically off of what I saw of him last season backing up Chico Fowler , but I'm Done and moved on from that conversation. I just hate it when people say our QB's can't cut it and we have only seen 3 of them and then throw Hookers name in the group because Coach want give him some run . State it as it is Eli and Yeager couldn't cut it and White is our best option. Trying to leave it alone but it's when I see BS like that it ticks me off . Personally I hope Hooker Transfers and I hope it's to Central 😆🤣😂

What exactly is being suggested as a two QB system? 1. alternating plays? 2. alternating series? 3. alternating quarters? 4. alternating halves? 5. free style it? 6. just two? which two? 7. one guy gets 1st down, another 3rd down? 8. one guy gets 3rd down, another 1st down? (I guess that could be construed as the same as #6) 9. maybe no QB, wildcat it, with two TEs? 10. maybe we just stick with the continued growth and development of our best player at the position? Going to a two QB systems (undefined) seems to imply being statistically last is soley a QB issue. How about we purchase 2 jug machines for the WRs, or do we need 4? How about we go to only 2 WRs sets? How about we go to a two Offensive Coordinator system? How about we go to a two Head Coach system? How about we go to a two game system, play a game on Wednesday and play the same team on Saturday? How about we go with the continued growth and development of our best player at the position? Hell we have no idea who White's Back-up is for 1 😆😂 . To run an effective two QB system you have to have two QB's of equal but different talents..i.e Carter and Raynard. Raynard the pocket passer with a deep ball arm that could run if need be, and Carter the runner that could pass if need be as a change of pace . We don't have that talent with Eli and Yeager backing up White . People need to stop throwing crap at the wall just to see what will stick and focus on cleaning up the crap that's already on the wall . Hell this is not Pop Warner football.

If we've got a better QB sitting on the bench, by all means, bring him in and let him get some experience. But from all indications, we've already seen the other QB's, and they were not ready. Leave the kid in and let him get some more experience! Eventually, he's going to find a few more open receivers and I just hope they catch the damn ball! QB doesn’t matter if your receivers are dropping passes, it was said that we have a ball machine, it’s clear that it’s not being used with the receivers it would teach them how to handle hot passes and field imperfect passes, the DB’s and special team guys should be trained with it also.

Having the right QB behind center does matter even if others are not doing their job effectively. You are now exaggerating the issue of dropped passes by WRs. How many dropped passes were there compared to the number of passes thrown by White? I am willing to bet White threw more incomplete passes than those that were dropped. We are a run first offense, therefore the number of dropped passes by WRs are emphasized because they are not going to get that many balls thrown to them. That is also a reason White's completion percentage should be scrutinized closely as to how accurate of a passer he is due to the smaller number of passing plays called by the coaches. Thus the reason I believe this thread was started, although I am against 2 QB rotation systems.

We do "have an idea" who the backup QB is? Unless Coach Brown re-ranked the QBs during the off week, the depth chart should be White - Yeager - Eli - Hooker. Why Yeager as the backup? Because in most cases the starting QB never falls lower than one position if replaced. We have a good "idea", but there is always a small chance we could be wrong. Yeager did nothing to be demoted below Eli except not win which Eli did not do either. Hooker is not even in the conversation until Coach Brown brings him up, not any fans. If Coach Brown were to go to a 2 QB system, then the rankings would or could be shuffled due to different criteria used. As Saabman stated, you would now look at QBs that complement each other. One is stronger in the passing game compared to the other one stronger in the running game or the coaches will look at something else.

kj white is "everything" that his high school highlight videos said he was and that's not always the case. it said he's a "true" dual threat qb who has (in coach brown's words) "elite" speed for a qb. at this point in the season, i agree with coach brown that he's the best qb on our roster. but i still like hooker and brick.
i've "always" favored a 2 qb system at the college level no matter what. so if i were coach brown, i'd define an "every game" role for the 2nd string qb, "if" game situations permit. now that doesn't mean that i'd "force feed" the 2nd string qb to play in every game. instead, only "if" game situations permit.
also, i'm only talking 'bout a series or two for the 2nd string qb "unless" he gets hot and moves the offense better than the starter was. however, i "would not" consider that grounds for demoting the starter to the backup role akin to how coach wash used carter as backup to raynard. in a few games (ecu comes to mind), carter came in and outplayed raynard but raynard did not lose his starting job, nor should he have.
but carter normally played in "almost" every game as a backup and i believe it helped carter to continue to "develop" while being a backup so that when the opportunity to start presented itself, he'd already have the "experience" to take over as a starter without having to go thru a major learning curve.
that's why i'd play a 2 qb system every season, to make sure that our backup will always have substantial "experience" under his belt in case he's eventually needed as a starter...

Stop please Stop ✋
We don't need this dual / 2 QB system 😤 Stop throwing crap at the wall please Stop . What is needed is simple 1. A structured well executed play calling system for the passing game .
2. The QB/QB's that can use there progressions in the passing game..i.e don't waste plays ,get the ball out to the open man Back,TE or receiver and understand how to use the field horizontally to extend plays before going vertical with his legs. Use all his weapons.
3. Receivers that understand when to brake of there routes and work there way back to the QB and find open space when the QB goes Horizontal to èxtend a play and catch the damn ball .
4. HC,OC,Receivers Coach stop with the BS " The best in practice will play BS" If your best in practice is not producing in game .Set there A$$ down and put someone in that will produce ,use your depth chart or the talent that you do have to find the right combinations. Use the damn roster for God sake .

You right the two QB would worked in Raynard and carter. But this situation is a little different. We don't have a Reynard(Yeager,ELI,Hooker) for White to play behind. So we have to go with white because he is the better of the four. Listen you know I was a big ELI fan and I wanted ELI to be the leader and have White as the backup. But in the Eagles game he was not mentally ready for the big show. So you have to go with the next man up. That is White team we just need to go through the growing pains and stick with him like NCCU did with PEE wee Richardson his first two years.

Is dual threat QB just a phrase that folks use for most QBs now a days? Every QB on our roster has been labeled as a dual threat and I see this recruit from Florida in the above link is a dual threat QB. If we believed the hype, then why do we keep saying that some of our QBs can't complete passes? Maybe it was something else that caused them to fail or did we do a bad job in evaluating their true skills?

Play Kevin White and recruit another QB. This kid has committed: Early signee/Spring Practice participant, most likely. We'll also sign a Transfer Portal QB.
