shaw during labor day weekend? works for me!! a much stiffer opponent than vul, wvsu, or chowan. but with the team we have coming back this year, that should not be a problem at all. a really good tuneup prior to playing chapel hill. i don't like playing 4 consecutive road games though, but it is what it is...

I'm fine with Shaw, since WSSU and FSU both already had games scheduled. But next year, I'd like to see us open up against one of those two.

Man those 4 games away will be a challenge for this year's squad. I'm glad we aren't freshman and sophomore heavy anymore because we will need experience early in the season to make it out of the stretch. Hopefully we can pull a Chowan beat down again to give our backups some reps.

It should be FAMU playing Morgan on Nov 14.

We have a good chance of going 10-1 with 9 FCS wins.... and if the OL gets it together against UNC.... we could pull the upset....
We can defintely pull this FCS at-large bid.

I'm glad we picked up that extra game and Shaw is perfect. They are instate so they may bring a few fans and there's some historic significant to us playing them. When the "Agricultural and Mechanical College for the Colored Race" was founded in 1891 if was first housed on Shaw's campus.
By the way, has anybody wonder if SC State will still be open to play us this year? They may not actually close their doors this year but just that rumor has to negatively impact all their academic and athletic programs. Just wondering.

I definitely like your optimism, but as much as I would love to beat Chapel Hill I just hope we come out and make it competitive. But hey if we have solid QB play, and a stout defense again who knows what may happen.

Fortunately we have a bye between Elon and Hampton so we get some rest before the Northern road swing. I really like this schedule. Other FAMU, all of the road games are very doable for most fans and we finish out at home the last two weeks.

Just wondering. i hope and pray that scsu can survive this attack from the republicans. its very unfortunate that the "tea party" is trying to close their doors. actually scsu is lucky that this news came out "after" signing day and not prior to signing day because they could've lost some recruits behind this news...

I feel the opposite about the timing. The incoming freshmen may be stuck without a home and a lot of the scholarship money is now gone.
