I thought The SWAC Championship Game made any SWAC Member in eligible from The PLAYOFFS!
Does The SWAC still keep their Championship Game?
I still wonder why must The MEAC entertain anything The SWAC offers.......REALLY?
We should have stayed THE Course,

Do not know the date of the Gram -Southern game at the time, but I saw Jackson State play W&M and Marshall in the playoffs: Saw Alcorn(with Air Mcnair/which lets you know how long ago it was ) play Youngstown State A number of SWAC teams have been in the playoffs not to long a go UAPB ,PVSU and TSU to name a few. GSU and SU may not have but other SWAC teams have. Tell the "bowl director" that the MEAC champion WILL play in FCS playoffs;BUT the conference will be DELIGHTED to send a competitive Conference "repre" that doesn't get the Champion slot OR an At Large Bid to the FCS playoffs.

- Grambling State (0-3), most recently in 1989;
- Jackson State (0-12), most recently in 1997;

It's been 17 years since a SWAC team received an at-large berth in the FCS Playoffs, WCA.
If we lose our automatic bid to the playoffs, I guarantee you that we will not receive an at-large berth even if that second place team goes 10-1. We won't even be considered. Call it "politics," if you like, but no MEAC squad will get a berth.
And, secondly, don't look for Hilton to remain on the selection committee. He will surely be replaced if we give up our automatic bid.

Why are we so high strung is my question? We(MEAC) hasn't won a playoff game in ages. AGES!!!!! And now that we have a chance at winning the MEAC and participating again us Aggies are all up in arms about playing in this bowl game instead of going to the playoffs. This argument is laughable. If we were SCSU, then the argument MIGHT make sense. If we were a Jenkins lead BCU the argument MIGHT make sense. Some would even say that since they couldn't win in all those tries that even their arguments would be laughable.
Cause all that ruckus just to take an azz whipping and lose money in the process? LOL Yall are killing me, LOL, LOL, LOL I needed this laugh tonight. Play in the damn bowl if we win it. Shoot, first we got to win it and not "crap" like we did this pass season.

I hate losing in the playoffs year-after-year... but I hate going back to a segregated situation and being EXCLUDED even more.That's like telling black folks to quit voting in all elections because we can never win. Not one single school has gone into the FCS Playoffs with the singular goal of making a profit. It's just plain shortsightedness to exclude yourself from the national stage... especially for the chump change that we are getting paid.

"watch me shut him up by comparing a REAL life fight to MEAC football", nice try but, Football is football and voting is voting. I aint 18 man.
Point I'm making is we are not ready. We are far from ready. If we competed game to game with them then I'd be singing a different tune. If their 3rd place teams wont straight putting the beatdown on some of the MEACs best year after year I would change my tune. The MEAC is not equal is this case. Its far from it. If it wasn't for the money we make playing FBS schools in football and basketball I would jump on the Dooms bandwagon and say the whole conference needs to be Div2.
"But Monster, we played Coastal to the end. We challenged them! We are ready!" Please. We got beat by two teams that we should not have. We were not ready. Our representative got druggaded. Yes "druggaded"(say it like its spelled) again. None of us proud Aggies(except me) will admit it, but after watching us lose twice we would have gotten druggaded also. We would have went in with our chest all poked out and got pimp slapped like a $2 hoe.
"Chump change".....Right now we getting ZERO dollars.

Man I believe you and I are the only ones on this site that think like this. I have a fairly good grasp of finance and budgets and I cannot figure out why it's so important for us to stay in the FCS. Other than the few PWI football programs that have hosted and won the championship, everybody else looses money. I'm with you...let's try something else!

I ran across something on Montana and FCS team that avages 24,000 fans per game and $ 500,000 each game. And don't gave me this ( they have nothing to do up there crap) point being we can not match most of the FCS power schools out side of the meac $ for $ and in most cases fan for fan. Now this may not be true on the East cost but out this way they invest big time $ in their program's. As for me take the money chump changes or not, is better then no money at all. Let's go Bowling.

Please tell me how the Tea Party CREATED that big $$$$ Deficit...how the Tea Party Reduced enrollment...how the Tea Party created that Pitiful graduation rate. they didn't, but they are responsible for the “legislative initiative” to close scsu. wow, who are you? armstrong williams? Guess you have missed the years of mismanagement down there and blatant stealing going on

No MEAC school is leaving FCS, cause if we do that's no march madness and none of that money that comes every yr. If we go DII then we lose that income. Now i'm all for Division II but leadership ain't going for it
