After all the trash talking we could only manage 38 rushes for 85 yards. Make no mistake, this is why we lost the game!

I said it all along this is a huge question mark for our team and last they proved me right! OL talked the talk but didn't walk the walk

Time to take a page out of late last season right now, and roll with the freshmen and sophomores and this time don't wait to the end of the season to make the move.
Food for thought - one other thing in the next recruiting class, let me suggest to Coach Lee and coach Berry to really concentrate on finding three solid quarterbacks via high school or D-1 transfer. Winston dared us to throw it and we simply couldn't. Five cannot block nine in the box.
If you only have one good quarterback (and he's hurt) then you really don't have any.

How were the kickoffs? I heard the FG attempts were scary.

Blankman I agree with you that it is very disappointing that we have a veteran OL that performed the way they did. A1 you are right that they dared us to throw and we didn't/couldn't do the job. Also, am I the only one that thinks the offense is still too vanilla/plain? I mean where are the shots down field when there is 8-9 in the box, where is the misdirection, are we even trying to get the ball into our so called playmakers hands, and do we have at least one trick play? Let the young OL play and we better recruit a few QB's for next year. Also, what happened to our containment on defense the last two series???

I believe that when you are truly committed to the run it shouldn't matter when an inferior opponent stacks 8 men in the box. The great running teams are all about execution which means that even when your opponent knows what's coming they are still powerless to stop you.

Hearns was injured and a freshman replaced him.

If the blitz misses then your DBs are in man and have their backs to the QB. dont realize he is running until he already has 10 yards. We did this on 3rd and long and I was very surprised about it.

AggieMonster I guess I should have phrased my question better, why didn't they understand this as a coaching staff?

If you know anything about Chennis, you know that he will just move the line-up around week after week like he did last year. Now I agree that the offensive line play last night was not good but JESUS CHRIST! Your starting QB goes down a week before the game, WSSU had 8 in the box ALL NIGHT! Execution..blah, blah, blah but if you're expecting a winning season based off just the run...FORGET IT! Espeacially if team know we have NO passing game & continue to put 8 in the box! Hell from watching the game you could tell there was know calmness or CHEMISTRY til a VETERAN Morgan came into the game and we had the little success that we did. The offensive line definately needs to step their SH*T up but the game was loss in EVERY aspect of the TEAM not POSITION!

Once again it looks like our veteran offensive line got dominated. Only 31 yards rushing and a total of 156 yards of offense. Sad!

We got to face it our line just aint that good. Because even if a team keeps 8 in the box the entire game if you have a really good line you can still be effective runnning the ball.
You kidding me 31 yards rushing and several plays went for negative yards. Just SAd!!!
