I can't believe people are actually blaming Coach Small for this defunct football program. We go from barely loosing games to getting blown out in every contest even the players from SC State said we were a better team than our 3-8 record. No, the blame for this 0-11 season sits squarely on an administration that doesn't know how to use COMMON SENSE in evaluating coaches or in hiring coaches. Jerry Moore the head coach at APP. Sate base salery is $100,000 and he has a national title. We hire a coach who has never been a head coach or coordinater in college and make him the highest paid coach in THE HISTORY OF A&T just so we can have the only winless season in THE HISTORY OF A&T---- No my friends, Coach Small was not the architect of this brain fart! This season belongs to the Powers that be and to a coaching staff that greatly under estimated there opponents!! I mean, who in there right mind would would fire the strength coach in February only to hire one October---- Who in there right mind would put there kids in that kind of jepordy and expect them to be physically ready to perform, and if you are not physically ready it's impossible to be mentally ready!!! I ask you,WHO!!!

Dang man, we finally got this thread calmed down and here you come outta nowhere.
I mean people are always going to find somebody to point the finger towards. Whether it's five days ago, five days from now, five years from now or five decades from now I think they'll realize maybe they weren't entirely correct in their assessment of the situation.

Dooms, the reason I came out of left field is because the state of our football is in a very critical state. Everyone of our programs are going to have they're budgets cut only for that money to go into a black hole we call a football program. Mens basketball does quite well financially playing guarantee games but none of that money is invested back into basketball. How can they continue to improve if the powers that be will not invest some of that money back into the program? This reminds me of 1980 when McKinnley was made interim AD and since he was the football coach he put all the money into football and we go from 10-2 in 1979 to 1-10 in 1980. The athletic deprrtment is in the red big time and who bells them out---- Coach Corbett and basketball. The powers that be didn't invest in basketball then and they're not doing it now. Mens basketball still has the same recruiting budget that Coach Corbett had 20yrs ago!!! It's mind boggling how we keep letting people who don't know or who don't care make all these critical errors in judgement and they get of the hook because they have the power to fire the coach. What a waste of power!!!
