I would be surprised if WSSU scores. Has anyone looked at their offensive line? Young and un-tested! I think our experience up-front will serve us well on both sides of the ball.

Personally, I'm not impressed. Reminds me of another recent coach and his choices who will remain nameless. I feel you A-1, but the only (MAJOR) difference is this coach has 17 yrs of head coaching experience behind him. He Who Will Not Be Named was a life-long position coach, fronting like a head coach. |

I feel pretty confident that have improved since last season. I think we have a lot more talent, a much better attitude and much better leadership.
I just don't know how all that will translate on the field until I see them play against outside competition.
When I make my predictions, I pretend that I am in Vegas and spending real money on a wager. In short, I try to think with my head; not my gut or my heart.
As a fan, I am excited about this game and can't wait to see our guys in action. If I were in town this Saturday, I would be hanging my BDV.com banner in the stadium and wearing my Blue Death Gear t-shirt. As a journalist, I try to look at things in a pragmatic fashion and provide readers with as much accurate information as I can.
If everything works out like I hope and all the weapons we seem to have really perform well against WSSU, then I will be much more apt to pick A&T in the following weeks.
Right now, there is still a lot that's unknown with this team and coaching staff.

Many folks also forget or didn't know that there is also a new defensive coordinator at WSSU as well in Guilford College's former head coach Mike Ketchum who was let go as their head coach a few years back. They are also transitioning this year to a 3-4 defense from their normal 4-3 because of the lack of down linemen. Everyone really needs to stop a moment and look a lot closer at match-ups before jumping out there predicting scores, spreads, strengths and weaknesses and who is better and who has the upper hand and what not. Something to think about. What say the Foremost Authority? What is your prediction? |
