We support regardless of whos there. What I think Eaves has to do now is recruit players that fit his style of ball and actually land them.
That's what keeping a succesful basketball program is all about. Recruit and sign your style of players.

Quick question: what is Eaves' style again?
I mean, besides putting five players on a court and telling them to run fast breaks.

I may not agree on the progress of a team or how well one coaches a team, but I'm a supporter as is most fans. Having said that, after five years I would think that those are the very players he has been recruiting. If not, he has been marching in place for five years. I would think that is the process of rebuilding (recruiting players to fit your style), which by the way takes place again next year. Let's all continue to support all of the athlectics programs finanacially.

Also, what happened the last time that a proven winner got fired at A&T? The next guy went 0'fer....and then 0'fer again. lol ...Are you using Small as an example of a proven winner?

we need a true point guard! We have no one to really breakdown a defense.

He was the last football coach to win the MEAC. I know a lot of people want to minimize Small's accomplishment by saying he used Bill Hayes players but hey, he could have gone 3-8 in his first year and he didn't.

Give me Ewing all day before you give me a 5'6" guy. If you have someone that is 5'6" on the court, he's gotta have a whole lot of heat around him or he will get exposed almost each and every time down both ends of the court. High School is one thing, college is another. I think that we can agree, that we won't have any "heat" anytime soon. So, what do we really have in Hill?
Just think about it for a second. What little man do you know that has been successful without help at almost every position...on any level above highschool? Signing guys like this is what makes it so easy to call Eaves a fraud.

i am not denying the fact that Marc Hill might be a good player, but I dont think he is a good fit for our program....and the other guard we are bringing in is supposedly 6-2....a 5-6 point guard and a 6'2" two guard just doesnt excite me to the point where i can see winning a conference championship with them in the backcourt unless our frontline players are all 6-8 or better...

One winning season out of three doesn't make Small a proven winner. When I think of a proven winner I think of coaches who have repeated success year after year.

I actually forgot about Smalls when I wrote that post. I don't follow the football stuff, so Smalls kind of slipped my mind. I was referring to Hayes. Hope this clears that up.

When was the last game u seen. Ewing can't guard no one. I've been to every home game and the opposing point guard is killing him every game. Get me anybody that can play defense

Speaking of Small who is a very nice man. His losing began in the last two games of the championship year. He lost to SCSU and Wofford by at least three or more touchdowns. It was all down hill afterwards.
