Same as it was in 2022 & 2023.
Interior defensive linemen...specifically CAA "sized" players (2 NTs & 2 more DTs).
I believe it would be better if they were transfers with some experience as opposed to freshmen. We have 4 DTs (2 RFr & 2 true freshmen) on the team already. The 4 doesn't include Henry Daniel, who I would move back to DE at 260.

hard to believe you all dont think QB is the number 1 need!! >> Until Saturday I thought we were OK at the QB position. The Richmond QB was huge compared to A&T QBs. He didn't really try to avoid contact. He ran over one A&T DB on the touchdown run that was called back because he stepped out of bounds. I took a look at their roster and found:
Richmond shortest QB is 6'3 - A&T tallest QB is 6'2 Richmond smallest QB is 210 lbs - A&T biggest QB is 210 lbs
I guess this is CAA QB size. The QB that ran over us Saturday is 6'3 225 lbs. White is 6'0 180 lbs. Yea, something needs to be done at the QB position. With the hits White is taking, not sure he will make a complete season without injury.

You won't be able to recruit any top QBs or WRs this offseason if Chris Young is still on the staff. Nobody with any other options will want to come to the worst offense in the nation.

We have multiple "Great needs", we're starting to see the difference in size from the MEAC and Big South to the CAA. Last year one of our strong points was the offensive line, now we clearly see that the O-Line is an area for improvement as well.

Stop this CAA size BS please if anything it's divisions one size. Most players inter college at a smaller size and develop there size depending on position, hell some even have to lose size . I put DT and if I could have checked more boxes I would have checked Receiver's , O linemen and possibly QB (because off of the fact that we don't have a capable experienced QB behind White that has played) In saying that DT on Defense ,Offensively:Receiver's and O linemen for me are the most important need . Regardless of who the OC is .

It all starts in the trenches! OL/DL. Coach Brown has been targeting trench players all season long. Hopefully, the targeting will bode well for us in a few weeks. Meanwhile... He would be an excellent option for us out of the portal, especially since we're offering a TP QB from Houston Christian:

This shows where NCAT and HBCUs in general have our biggest gap. This "list" isn't first in the minds of fans, but show up on the field and the court across an athletics program. It's all about the long term health and strength of you program. Our deficit in facilities is one thing...but, acknowledging and addressing our behinds the scenes deficit in staff, support, and administration will be what sets our program apart. Fortunately the plans laid out by our admin is meant to address all those areas...that said, it's going to take time, money, and commitment. I hope we are up for the challange.
