HBCU sports community in general, I’d agree. The timing couldn’t have been worse though, I’m deep into the world of sports media/graphics & Ive never seen a walk-on tryout post during the actual regular season (I’m super aware of the the tryouts commencing though, unlike a lot of folks), and it being after a loss was worse. And also having the context of how tone deaf A&T sports communications is added a deeper punch to the gut for me personally, it’s like they’re in their own world 90% of the time The bigger issue is the effective use of Social media, IMHO. And in a way, throwing up a big sign that Stony Brook is just as bad as what we did, if not worse. I'm looking at it as worse. For me, I don’t necessarily have a personal opinion on which is worse, but if I didn’t know anything about either program scrolling through social media I’d think both are either a bottom-dwelling FCS squad or D2 squad. Effectively using social media like you said, you shouldn’t portray your program to look like either if you that isn’t you. So I largely agree.

With a budget like that, they won't be down long.
Back to the topic...

Hmph.
It's genius.
Imagine if Coach Brown could send out similar tweets. I bet we would have a better shot at some d-tackles.

Coach Brown's public communication strategy has been a disappointment thus far. He started off with so much momentum, but the 1-10 season seemed to have caused him to retreat into privacy mode.
Hopefully, he can figure things out and get back to controlling the narrative with his program.

For them? Hell yeah it is! You got less than a month until signing day and you gotta openly advertise your facilities to attract recruits. And for clarification, we do have offers to multiple transfer D-Linemen and they are coming in for a visit. Did we have to advertise our facilities or the school as a whole openly (and desperately)to attract the signees we already got? Heck no! At this point, just come out and say you want Coach Brown fired because you and the other 0%ers are just doing everything but that. And at this point, it’s frankly annoying as hell. Lastly, Stony Brook was worse than us last year and hired a new coach before the early signing day, IIRC. That is some pathetic recruiting, if true, especially with their facilities.

I respectfully disagree. If you got it, flaunt it. Plus, as you noted they had a terrible record. If you want to improve your record advertise your positives. An excellent job of salesmanship imo. If we're being technical what part of recruiting isn't desperation to a certain extent?

Using media Salesmanship and advertisement is the new recruitment tool. Social media provides programs more access and direct contact to potential athletes along with exposure for your program and Institution. Also programs can gage the athletes that are following there social media accounts. Excellent recruiting technique.

I guess it's a new day then. There's nothing with that and me adjusting my frame of reference.

I guess it's a new day then. There's nothing with that and me adjusting my frame of reference. WCA my old recruiting buddies are doing FaceTime in house 🏠 visits with recruits out of state or over 600 miles before investing travel time 2 gauge if they are truly interested in their programs before inviting them to campus. Priority recruits are handled differently.
