This is telling me one of our signees fell through or someone is leaving The timing is strange, for sure. I'd much rather we were bragging about facilities or something right now.

Or he's recruiting for 2025 and beyond. I believe he does QB training as well.
I wouldn't get worked up over a Graduate Assistant's tweet.

Coach Brown's public communication strategy has been a disappointment thus far. He started off with so much momentum, but the 1-10 season seemed to have caused him to retreat into privacy mode. Hopefully, he can figure things out and get back to controlling the narrative with his program. Coach Brown knows he has to do just one thing, build a team that plays winning football next season. Fancy announcements and social media posts ain't going to do nothing for him until he builds a team that can play winning football "next season!" Hell, I don't even care when he hires an Offensive Coordinator, as long as he builds a team that can play winning football next season! So, I'm enjoying the Aggie Basketball season and patiently waiting for the first football game this fall. And if he doesn't do better than last season, then I'll join you guys questioning his hiring and wearing a paper bag on my head to his Monday Press Conferences.

What is our biggest need for 2024? So, how did we do? Transfer DT was marked as our biggest need. Amazed how everyone is salivating over this recruiting class when imo we haven't addressed our biggest need?

There is still another Transfer portal cycle to go through as well. I still think we need 2 more interior defensive lineman. But even if we dont get them, im still more satisfied with the roster than I was last year. I am being realistic and I don't think we will win the conference this year. Brown showed us last year he wants to play young guys. So i while my hope is we get a transfer or 2 i wouldnt be surprised if we saw these freshman playing. At this point I just want to see progress from 1 and 10 to at least 6 wins. And if we can do that while playing young freshmen and sophomore then thats better....until those guys enter the portal.

I have no clue but I suspect that Coach Brown and his staff didn't pursue too hard Transfer Portal players compared to the HS kids that we signed. And that was because of how the TP is everyone's first priority. So honestly, no Sane Aggie should have any unrealistic expectations for this team and that Defensive Line.

Personally, I believe our high school kids will perform better than tier 2 or tier 3 transfers.
Coach is not going to take a body just because they are 300 lbs, quality over measurables.
What I am seeing as that a lot of the best DL are taken by P5 schools.
Our projected DLinemen for next year...hopefully the returning players gain 10 pounds over the summer.
I think we have filled a major gap. Still a recruiting cycle away in my humble opinion.

I think 1 would be ok but I'd prefer 2.

Do we have a complete list of 2024 recruits/transfers grouped by position to see how well Coach Brown and staff did in filling holes and addressing depth chart? I saw that 2039 provided a DE/DT list.

I am assuming you don't believe the freshman are going to come in and have a big impact? I would like to see a true #1 WR from the transfer portal. The Defensive line will have size but it will be young and inexperienced. What you saw yesterday is how this team would look without those freshmen playing. Personally, I think the 2-3 freshmen DTs we will see in Fall Camp are just as promising as Caleb Jones was his freshman season. If they pan out, the DL won’t be porous against the run.
