This is a mess. I have a feeling we might lose some more players to the portal. I know the portal works both ways but I have only seen it work one way at A&T. Can this staff hold on to the next level kids? I hope so. It is hard to play for a team that wins 1 game all season. Honestly who cares if the fickle kids leave. Brown has stated he's building the program off of quality kids out of HS who want to be Aggies. Building a winner takes time. The portal is for supplementation. We shouldn't be living off that. |

Expecting to find a happy medium two games in after wholesale changes was probably not good for one’s soul.
That being typed, the coaches will have to figure something out.
I suspect the qbs have been practicing against our less than stellar pass rush. Hence their difficulty against actual game-level pass rushes.

Some of you forget none of the guys Yeager or Brickhandler got to play more one game and a half and half a game and one snap of a game . They both got injured the 3rd game of the season still barely had experience….. My point is even D Richard/s had time to get his game together . 2019 and then the covid year and some . The guys did look like deer in headlights but it’s definitely going to take time .

Anyone who says "be patient" after we couldnt pass the ball over 100 yards in 2 games(regardless of opponent).......I don't even know what to say about those people. We have a very serious issue here. Very serious.

I don’t even think the coaches are interested in being patient about the issue.
But it’s their problem to solve, not ours.
Interestingly enough, I watched the Montana State vs South Dakota State game yesterday. Montana State almost won that game with a passing game that barely looked any better than ours.

I suspect the qbs have been practicing against our less than stellar pass rush. Hence their difficulty against actual game-level pass rushes. That why you put them on the 4 second clock ⏰ drill . Even with the defensive rush the QB'S have 4 seconds to get the ball out period or it's a incompletion or quarterback sack . This will make the receivers get into and out of their routes before the buzzer is sounded . 7 on 7 or 9 on 9 with medium contact for the running backs, receivers, defensive lineman, linebackers, and DB's . You can simulate all of the defensive line stunts and rushes, lying back a rust and Blitz packages along with the defensive secondary coverage. It's no doubt in my mind the day already doing these things because that is football 101. For some reason it's just not connecting with our players, which I find hard to believe but stranger things have happened in my coaching career. Because somebody is not buying into what Coach Brown is putting on the table, that's just my opinion. If if we are going to lose ,Coach Brown go with the individuals that want to play Within your system and understand their weaknesses so that they can be coached up. And put the ball down and play and let the cards fall where they may. |

Yo Monster ,I'm one of those "be patient" guys and I wholeheartedly understand the fact that we have a serious problem ,ineffective QB play, inferior O-line pass blocking ,so on and so on .But I'm dead azz serious ,what are we supposed to do at this juncture ,start firing folk ,start letting players go ,I mean what else can we realistically do but be patient and pray that the staff can coach the players up that we do have . The bottom line is we don't have the dogs we used to have ,for whatever reasons . We've got 2 good running backs ,1 good return guy,good kickers punter and field goal,a couples of guys on the defense ,no WR with Caldwell and Warren out ,Cooke's hands are made of stone ,lol. We're used to having dogs all over the field , and a experienced QB under center ,but it just ain't so this year .So imma do like my guy Trues and his E&J ,only imma do it with Henny VSOP and dat OG Kush ,lol. |

That's why I asked if college teams had an IR or non-IR list to help the fans know what is happening with the team health wise. They could be on Covid restrictions.

Again, the staff isn't even interested with being patient with the issue. They can either fix it or they can't. We'll see as the season progresses.

Seriously though, if you want to shout and yell at the coaches/administration for the outcomes this early in the season its kind of pointless. If this was year 2 or 3 for Brown and the staff, yea, I would be right there with you. We have a whole new regime, young team, lost majority of our starting lineups to graduation and the portal, and faced two tough opponents. No need to raise the blood pressure just yet. |
