So now the narrative is that an Aggie coach told Duncan to get in the portal to test the waters and see what's out there? Ok. Not buying it but we shall see He did not say that. He just gave an alternative reason for why some basketball players enter the transfer portal, besides dislike of the university.

Another thing I think people don’t understand, is how many players get told to enter the portal by their coaches, even when they wanted to stay. lol, coach prime!!

Not buying it but we shall see Literally no way you did any more than skim through the words. Put it in all caps for this very reason too and still got deliberately misinterpreted agreed, you totally did not say that...

Another thing I think people don’t understand, is how many players get told to enter the portal by their coaches, even when they wanted to stay. lol, coach prime!! Facts, and a lot of others. In being a manager I’ve seen it happen when players didn’t have good conduct that aligned with the team over the course of the year, in some cases they told the player outright he wasn’t gonna see the floor/field because they aren’t good enough but they helped shop them around to other coaches (a lot of times this is the case when you see guys go D2/D3/NAIA from a D1), & I’ve seen a situation where a coach got a late commit from a really good talent that they always wanted & they kinda push the kid that was already there to the portal. I just wanted to add that perspective that it’s so much deeper than loyalty to the school, people have no idea the crazy stuff that happens. And in terms of fans, if they can see it happening it’s only plausible at “another school”. It was just in response to the “loyalty” & “unhappy with the school/program” stuff I kept seeing. Not pertaining to Duncan b/c I don’t know his situation at all.

Hate to see him officially gone. Big Sky plays good basketball just like the CAA tends to, so he’ll get some good comp and I’m sure it’ll elevate him even further. Definite downgrade in basketball facilities, but it’s a nice school overall. If he gets PT he’s gonna turn some heads

Who really knows but Powell. He said something to the effect in a post sometime ago ." I'm to good of a basketball player to have to choose between gas for my car and something else" . So it could be about money ?

This is no elevation at all. I feel bad for him honestly. This school in that big ole city broke attendance over 1k just one time barely. They had a worst record in a worst conference. As far as exposure he gets nothing. No one pays any attention to the big sky any more than they do the MEAC or CAA. This has to be a humbling experience and Pride must not have let him come back. I wish him the best but it had to be said.

I think he’ll play well if he gets some tick, doubt they’ll compete for the conference tourney though w/ MSU & EWU over there.

Coach Ross had remarked in his introductory press conference that some of these young kids jumping into the portal will have to learn some tough lessons the hard way that the grass isn't always greener somewhere else.
Good luck to him.

I wouldn't call it a downgrade or an upgrade, but somewhere in the middle facilities wise .I'm glad to see him go being truthful. Ross will build the team his way with the talent on hand and the recruits and TP player's he brings in .
