Come on people we botched this situation, we hired or maintained a Coach who doesn't know this or next level basketball. We have done it for years and was satisfied winning conference games. The recruiting head was a sweet mouth talker and could sale sugar to honey bees. We balked on a P5 assistant, and played a political game with SY's pedigree. Some of these kids want a legit chance of playing in a winning system. None of the Coaches we have had in 10 plus years can match the current Coaches resume. We have suffered from confirmation bias. The first principle is you must not fool yourself, and we AGGIES have been the easiest people to fool, with respect to our basketball program and its trajectory.

I'm pretty sure the folks at Sacramento State told him you can have this scholarship ... or you can keep your hair style, but you can't have both.

He is Gone. He didn't won't to be here for some reason. Later for him. Let's talk about the talent we have and the potential talent coming in.
Let's support them and our new coach.

So does he still get gym access over the summer ? His scholarship ends at the end of the Spring semester. So the answer is no, unless Coach Ross decides to give him access. In addition, he should be focusing on getting to Sacramento ASAP to get adjusted with his new school, teammates, and coaches.

Gentlemen because a player commits to a program, that doesn't mean that the program is committed to the player or that the player has been offered by the program. Ross understands this and Powell MAYBE FOUNDING THIS OUT .
Ross maybe showing good well by leaving the door open if things fall through for Powell at Sacramento or that no other D1 program shows serious interest in his services . Powells situation is going to be interesting to watch from here on out.

I feel you and I are saying the same thing in reference to your goodwill statement and my "unless Coach Ross decides to give him access" comment. I can't imagine Duncan committing to any school without them making an offer to him, so I am making an assumption that you meant "has been signed by the program". I agree that commit and signed have different meanings, but in my reply to the Professor I am assuming that Duncan had signed his NLI by the end of the Spring semester.

Thanks for saving me the time to search. I like that the image says sign, so there is no debate on whether he has only committed vs signed.

The thread is solely about Duncan Powell. I don’t see how discussing his decision takes away from our players or new coach

It figures. I knew you and 2039 wouldn't understand. Especially 39.

Good Luck to the Young Man. More than any, He showed a new spirit of 'getting it" with His NIL savviness. I hope that He Balls -out! It's still Our Legacy, just like Gene Littles, and Caple.
