They rely on "Backwards Billy". Why do you call him backwards? The number one football program in the nation has a grass field… University of Alabama UGA also has a grass field How many NFL stadiums have real grass? Sixteen NFL stadiums have real grass. Nine of them have Bermuda grass, four have Kentucky bluegrass, two have Desso Grassmaster and one has a combination of different grasses. How many NFL stadiums have artificial turf? Sixteen NFL teams play home games on artificial turf across 14 stadiums. The Giants and Jets share a turf field in MetLife Stadium, while the Rams and Chargers share a turf dome in SoFi Stadium. More NFL teams play on grass vs turf. Majority of turf fields are in domes… There are only 5 turf fields at outdoor stadiums… Heck the raiders have a dome with a grass field, shows how important it is to player safety. www.nbcsports.com/washington/football-team/which-nfl-stadiums-have-artificial-turf-vs-real-grass?amp

It’s simple, the school doesn’t want turf lol That is directly opposite of what Chancellor Martin stated at the recent BOT meeting.

When talking about the improvements needed to compete in the CAA he specifically mentioned a new field.

If you don't, and think what is looks like every year is OK, then you are "Backwards".

Player safety is more important

That make zero sense It makes perfect sense. Billy has said for over ten years that we are an agricultural school so we should have a natural grass field. Nothing wrong with that except he can't even maintain the field, so he should just go sit down somewhere. He's backwards because he doesn't understand the power of optics, and its impact on recruiting, television and of course Aggie Pride.

When talking about the improvements needed to compete in the CAA he specifically mentioned a new field. Field turf isn’t going to help us compete. We need real upgrades…moving the softball field for starters and building them a facility that matches or exceeds Campbell. War memorial renovation, hvac in Moore and make Moore volleyball only…move the athletics offices out of the building. That is a better use of $1.3M

Placing optics over player safety is backwards. $1.3M being spent on a new locker room does more for recruiting than a turf field. Only a couple people level of Aggie Pride is tied to the color of a field…out of 75k alumni less than 1 percent care.
