Well, he appears to be like 5'10" at best. But I don't think that would stop our staff from recruiting him.
Grades would. And that's why I asked the as yet unanswered question about his grades.
So, does anybody know what his grades are like? And why hasn't he signed anywhere as yet?

more than likely, it is his grades cuz based on what i saw, dude can flat out play. he's listed at 6'0", but my eye test says indeed he's more like 5'10". but heck, foster ain't no taller than he is. in fact, foster is probably shorter.
i like what i saw on video, but i agree it would probably benefit him to redshirt for a year, particularly given his size. but yeah, we know coach broadway recruits the high point area, so i'm pretty sure he's aware of this kid. more than likely, it is his grades that's the stumbling block...

I know one thing, he doesn't look fast but, he sure does make a lot of folk miss. Make them look as if they are running in mud.

Or it could be that he wants to play quarterback at the next level and no one is offering the opportunity because of his size and height.

I'm sure there are plenty of schools (fcs, d-2, naia, d-3) that would give him the opportunity to at least compete for a spot at qb.
Let me change the question. Has he qualified academically?

He definitely has a good feel for the game. Something isn't being said if he has no offers. Sounds like grades or he hasn't qualified.

I saw that on twitter yesterday but that was a retweet from a female friend of his who signed with WCU, not him.

Broadway has been very thorough recruiting the area. Someone with the talent you all are describing doesn't slip under the radar. Maybe some other factors there? JMHO... Valid JMHO 4XLaggie...and yours usually have VALIDITY...smiles.

N.C. A&T has added another late recruit for this coming season with the signing of Jimmy Ellis (6-4,200) WR/TE/OLB from C. B. Aycock High School in Pikeville, NC. Ellis signed his LOI back on 6/17.

He signed as a "Preferred" Walk-On. Someone please remind me what that really means. I understand on scholarship, partial scholarship, and walk on but what does the "preferred" part mean?

I understand on scholarship, partial scholarship, and walk on but what does the "preferred" part mean? most of the time they are players that could possibly have been given a scholarship if the money was available. also they could be Players that have been offered other schools but only wanted to attend a certain school with the hope of obtaining a scholarship in there given sport or position that they have played in high school.

There's nothing wrong with being a walk-on. Curtis Deloatch turned out alright as a former walk-on. The kid has an opportunity and hopefully he'll take advantage of it and continue to get better.
