I show Dominic Frescura as K/P in my program book. He is listed as a 6-2, 202 Sophmore from South Pasadena, CA. I think this is the kid that got hurt...not sure.

Thank you for the welcome!
Isaac got the feeling from the coaches that Frescura wasn't coming back, but nothing was said explicitly that that was the case.

He'll have a ton of heavyweight competition. Broadway gave a full ride to highly regarded punter and placekicker Steve Sawicki (6-4,210) from Grays Creek HS in Hope Mills, NC on Day One of last moth's national signing period . Sawicki was first-team all conference, all-region and the 2014 Cape Fear Valley Conference Special Teams Player of the Year. He also won the Chris Sailor Kicking Camp Competition last fall as well.
Knowing Broadway, he may very well go with both a long and short range kicking game.

It's great to have them both, especially after last season when we lost Frescura and used the PK as a backup. Cody Jones had some great moments but a backup punter is what was needed.

Isaac knows about Sawicki and isn't scared of competition. It will only drive them both to be better. We also met a kid who is transferring in from Brevard College as a punter but will have to sit out next year due to the transfer rules. His name is Garrett Nestor. There will be competition a-plenty going forward.

Anyone coming from Brevard College shouldn't have to sit out. I'm pretty sure Brevard is a DII school unless they changed in the last couple of years.

Oh; I thought it was the other way around. Thanks for the correction.

I love that Coach Broadway is recruiting depth in key areas. Our kicking game has always been "average" (I'm being generous) but the App State game a few years ago showed what "great" kicking can do. Last year our kicking game started off great but injuries made us "average" again. This season we should be in excellent shape. In close games, great kicking can make the difference.
I am really looking forward to welcoming the new players and an exciting football season. It's going to be a "championship" year! Aggie Pride
