I dreamt of the wing-t with Fergenator at the fullback, Chancellor at the running back and Speedy on the wing. I like that.

Go to the front page of bluedeathvalley.com and under the "next up" section you will see a button that says listen live. Does this mean that the game will not be broadcasted over WNAA?

p.s. before it actually does turn into a pissing contest, I want y'all to understand that the scenario I typed was not a dig at Fobbs nor was it a a show of support for Japan, it was a scenario that I used purely to illustrate my main point. My main point was in my opinion running players off ultimately isn't good for the coach, the player or the program. It isn't good for any coach, any player or any program. There are better ways to handle the situation. Small's approach to coaching was that the coaches and the team were a family. Results be what they were I do agree with the premise. The team and coaches should be a family unit. You will never find a family that doesn't include some dissension. Disciplining players is akin to disciplining your children and that is commendable. Players jabbing off happens in every program. When I mouthed off to my pop he spanked me or punished me, then he explained his reasoning and I either understood it or I didn't. Either way it was still his house and that much I understood loud and clear. At the end of the day we all ate dinner at the same table. He didn't "run me off" and I didn't decide to go off and not do my best because I didn't get my way that day or run away from home like a little jerk. I used Japan and Fobbs in my scenario because I figured everybody reading would relate easier to these two than if I'd used "player a" and "coach b." For the last time, this is not a dig at Fobbs and it's not a positive nor a negative. Again, I'd prefer the kids bought into Fobbs' system than leave the team all disgruntled and put bad information out there about our program to potential recruits. I'm aware that some people are beyond convincing but the vast majority only need the smallest bit of personal time and just need to know the coach gives a damn about them. Is Japan a lost cause? I don't know. That's for him and Fobbs to decide. FINE.

Uh, Econgrad, where did I "lay on" Fobbs in the first place?... DOOMS, my brother. I read your writings on this message board often, and usually agree with most of what you say. However, I'm not going to get into a pissing contest with you regarding Coach Fobbs; and, I stand by what I said. Fobbs is no dummy. He has to know (given A&T's proud athletic history, as well as the hard times we've experienced in recent years) that we all expect/demand a winning program. If he doesn't produce in a reasonable amount of time (the term of his contract, 3 to 4 years I guess -- excluding unfavorable conditions he can't control) I'll be one of the first to shout, "Fobbs, your time is up". Until then, he is all we have and I'm praying he will be able to turn this thing around. I'm sure he reads this message board occasionally at least, and it would be encouraging to see expressions of positive support and a little less of the negatives. I honestly believe we're going to have a very good year. But then, that's me... the eternal optimist, as my wife calls me.

I ain't saying it'll happen, I'm just saying "what if?" What if... what if you just lay off Fobbs for awhile and give the guy a chance. He inherited a F__up system as a result of previous bad coaching choices, but seems to be doing his damn-est to make something good happen at the "T". Let's start hearing/reading some positives... some support, for a change!

Uncle AJ ... good job. I, too, am puling for Fobbs to turn this thing around; and, am willing to be patient and give him the time he needs to do what he's being paid to do. I sure hope the rest of the AGGIE faithful do the same.

You're forgetting the coaching situation and the competition. If Massie was our coach I'd pick a few more victories. If we were playing against the teams EW beat I'd pick a few more. Say what you will about "program-destroying" predecessors and inexperienced players but the two main culprits for our sorry season were poor line play and inexperienced and overburdened coaches. We haven't tamed either one as of yet. I think it's only fair to ask for and expect improvement. Like I said in another thread vast improvement would be an 0-11 record where teams actually had to sweat past the first quarter. Folks are being unrealistic or just plain forgot what we put on the field last year. We were not in a game after the 10 minute mark of the second quarter. I can't think of one team that didn't empty their bench against us. Vast improvement would be not being in the bottom 10 of almost every measurable offensive and defensive statistic possible. Nothing has happened that's going to turn that around in one mere season. Men's tennis' budget wasn't that big ladies and gentlemen. We're building a house here, not a hurricane relief trailer. It will take another year before we even get the foundation going. While I hope for 15-0 like I do every year, the commonest of sense tells me it's gonna be another long season. The chilling realism is that you may very well be correct... however, with all my AGGIE soul, I pray that you're wrong.

I expect us to win against Winston, Parie View, Central, and Norfolk. I also expect us to be competitive against the rest of the MEAC. That's the spirit aggie9195; that's AGGIE PRIDE! I, too, am hoping (and praying) for at least a .500 season.

No offense but I ain't sending my kids to no passing camp for a chump who ain't come within four touchdowns of any team he coached against. AGGIE PRIDE? Yeah.
