So your telling me that we may lose the NCCU game some where down the line. ?? The following is from an article dated 2007 in the Hampton VA newspaper but is no longer available: ____________________ MEAC NOTES MEAC Commissioner Dennis Thomas confirmed Friday that the conference will not split into divisions when Winston-Salem State becomes eligible in 2010 for conference play, nor will it conduct a conference championship game. Instead, the conference will play a round-robin schedule with two schools rotating off of each team's schedule for two years at a time.
www.dailypress.com/sports/dp-...,1006987.story________________________ I don’t know how the round-robin pertains to NCCU. Perhaps they are allowing each school to keep two permanent rivals. It would be great if we had clarification from the MEAC office, or perhaps 4X can help.

Now that's a mess !NCCU should never be removed from A&T's schedule! It's better to have all Rivalries remain contacted what out any Brakes!

WE PLAYED 7 HOME GAMES SEVERAL YEARS AGO. I REMEMBER BECAUSE THAT WAS A LONG TAILGATE SEASON.

Aggie1 is correct. The year was 2008. We had 7 home games and played NC Central in Charlotte that season as well.
MtHollyAggie98 is correct also. Each MEAC school has two designated schools that will always be on the schedule. For A&T, that is NC Central & SC State.
By the way, the MEAC released the conference schedules through 2013 or 2014 a few years ago. I cannot find it anywhere but I will continue to look.

I don't know how that happenned unless the school petitioned the MEAC to do otherwise. It definitely hurts the strength of schedule component in terms of play-offs, but some would say we are a one team league anyway in terms of one team getting into the play-offs. I think everyone is interested considering that rule was the justification for us to stop playing WSSU in 2000. Yeah our SOS is horrible. MEAC title or bust for playoffs

You are allowed to declare two rival schools. For A&T its NCCU and SCSU. Those schools will always remain on the schedule every year. Everything else is fair game.

Why in the heck did we put lights in the stadium to play 1:30 P M games? I guess one of these games is for the high school students and if that is the case ... o k. Other than that "ALL" games should be 4 P M or later. Agreed. September games 6:00pm October games @4:00pm (except Homecoming 1:30pm) November games @3:00p.m This way a lot of people who work early saturdays and live at least a hour or more away can support aggie football. Also, it won"t rush students for admission's (early ) "University Day" 8:00a.m. I beleive more North Carolina friday night high school game students and good football players would attend, but the past early start of admissions university day and football games are too early. I beleive these time suggestions would be friendlier to the senior alums and young aggies alike. Using 50% of the stadium lights is also nice with the fans and the BGMM. Come on Aggie Pride (athletic department) family!!!...let's do it or a least try it while it's still time to make changes.

Say something to Hilton if that's how you really feel.

I agree 100% these 1:30 starts are way to early for those of us who have to work on saturdays. Given the number of home games with some on back to back weekends it is difficult to get off that many times at 1:00 . It just makes sense to play at 6 in sept, 4 in oct. This provides to opportunty to make some money and bring our families to the games. We just went through this in basketball season with the early starts,. Will anyone listen to the fans and alums?

Is the start time something Hilton has control over? I know he probably does for non conference games, but doesn't the confrence handle all game times for conference games? I could be mistaken but I'm not sure

The individual schools have control over the game times unless its a televised game, then ESPN dictates the times. I always wanted night games in September because of the heat and then move to afternoon games in October and November.
