Both are freakin' killing us. Lewis Kindle gave them all their points in the first half. The punter put them in ideal territory with his ridiculous punts.
A&T is ahead of schedule......but Kindle doesn't show me he's ready to be our QB of the future. He's been less than marginal all year. Broadway has to recruit a QB. I've tried to give Kindle the benefit of the doubt - but it's the 10th game of the year and he still is making extremely bad decisions.
The punter needs his scholarship taken, plain and simple.
The defense fought hard today. They were constantly being placed in unenviable situations all day by Kindle and the punter. It was ridiculous....

The punter I agree with.
I'll stick with Kindle for now. Although IF Kindle was a "great" QB, we would have 3 or 4 more victories this year. Give him an off season under Broadway.

I would hope that their will be a Punter and QB in the 2012 class of recruiters. But what we have is what we have for now. We know that we can't cut corners now when it comes to the kicking game. Like most HBCU's. Kickers and punters are not valued as much as the other positions on the team. For A&T to challenge one day for the MEAC or an NCAA Championship . WE MOST HAVE AN COMPLETE TEAM FROM TOP TO BOTTOM.

What do you expect from a team that only has 33 scholarship players?

The Aggies have surpassed my expectations with the talent that is on the team. I think A&T has a very good coaching staff or this season would have been a very bad season.

As for me Gator I expected A&T to be about were they are. I knew that we were not a 9th place team in the MEAC and I also felt that we would go 8-4 for the season. I have always said that 33 scholarships or not. I was on this bandwagon from the start to the end. To me this season was about RESPECT and nothing more nothing less. NO ONE BUT A FEW OF US EXPECTED US TO HAVE THE TYPE OF SEASON THAT WE HAD. To me any WALK-ON THAT HAS PLAYED AHEAD OF A SCHOLARSHIP PLAYER THIS SEASON. THAT KID SHOULD HAVE HIS SCHOLARSHIP THIS COMING SEASON. ROLL ON AGGIE'S ROLL ON.

If this coaching staff continually allows one special teams player to put the entire team in position to lose ballgames, then they deserve what they get.
Broadway made the decision this offseason to hold on to 14 available scholarships and not recruit a punter or placekicker. Garcia-Camacho was actually brought to Broadway's attention by a former A&T football great and I believe he is only getting a partial scholarship. If that alum had not found Garcia-Camacho, Thomas might have been handling both punting and place kicking duties.
Basically Broadway felt he could ride out the season with his current kickers and it has come back to haunt him. Lets hope he learns from this severe miscalculation.

(Like most HBCU's. Kickers and punters are not valued as much as the other positions on the team) why would you say that???................Did you see the SC State kicker, the FAMU kicker, NCCU and WSSU have had excellent kickers

Key word (LIKE MOST not all but most) and Because it just a fact. Your talking about a few teams that the light came on for them and they realized how important the kicking is to a team. Now numberonebrave Other then the ones named a above and this may include some of them. Name and HBCU that has a Kicker that kicks the ball out of the in zone on each kick off, that hit 35-40 yard field goals and punters that have hang time on their kicks and 35 yards with out the ball rolling. You would be hard pressed. I just don't think that HBCU look at Kickers the same way that they do other positions.

we had a punter that was potential NFL until he flunked out in Grubb. I would think if you are offering a scholarship you should be able to find local punters & kickers> But like Saabman said it has to be a priority in your recruting process not a "Oh shhh we need to find a punter " after you signed your recruting class"

Kindle will get better. Trust. I don't think that his brain has forgotten the trauma that his knee went through. It takes a couple of years to fully recover from an injury like that. He had much more zip on his ball as a freshman. Also had much more spring in his legs. Last year I can imagine that he spent most of his time on rehab, This off season, he will be able to work on strength and quckness. Kindle will get better

Miles has practice some as the place kicker. The kid Camacho can also punt. I saw him punting out at practice one day and he was just as good (misnomer ;D) or maybe even better than our regular punter.

Yes, The 2nd team punter and second team kicker. I'm sure the coach has considered using him, but why chance him pulling a muscle. The guys plays every offensive snap, returns punts, and is on the kick off team.

superstar having another ranting outburst again? i don't get it. let me first say i didn't see nor hear the scsu game which is why i haven't commented on it yet. i'll also admit that i'm a kindle fan. but when i look at the stats, i see that kindle completed an impressive 62% of his passes against scsu. he's only had 1 game "all season long" where he completed less than 50% of his passes. yet, we've got folk saying he's less than marginal? wtf!! when was the last time a&t had a qb who passed for over 50% all season long with the exception of one game? also, some of his critics complain that he doesn't pass to anybody except miles (and if true, its understandable, imo). but against scsu, he completed 21 out of 34 passes (62%) completing 9 passes to miles, 5 to raper, 3 to brown, 3 to drake, and 1 to moore. miles "definitely" should be his #1 target, but it appears to me that he did spread the ball around. and bare in mind we had less than 100 yards "total" rushing for the game, so obviously we were somewhat one dimensional. now, kindle also threw two picks and that's not good. but again, i didn't see the game and don't know the circumstances behind the picks, so i can't comment further on that. after 10 games, a&t ranks "3rd" in the meac in total offense which i don't think would be possible if we had a less than marginal qb. is kindle perfect? of course not. could he play better? absolutely. but to act like dude is a major problem on this team is simply ridiculous. take kindle off of this team and we're looking at another 1-10 season. i still stand by my prediction that if he stays healthy, he'll break most if not all of a&t's passing records by the time he graduates. he's still got 2 more years...
