To his credit, Fobbs has said he will not recruit academic question marks and waste scholarships on people who can't get on the field and/or stay in school. He is adamant on about that.

Hello Again Aggie Lovers!!! Now we are starting to see what Coach Fobbs is working on. Most of you know that I am new here. But I am a football coach. Coach Fobbs is starting to bring in his type of players. A lot of guys at A&T have gotten contant with just being on the team. Now Fobbs is bringing in guys that will play the way "HE" wants to play. It's hard to play your style of football with someone else's types of players. I am a former college and Pro player. But I have been coaching for about 6 years now, but I do know that you need to have your players to turn around a losing program. It's not like he took over a 1-AA powerhouse. Let Coach Fobbs get a few more of his players and then you can grade him. Year 1 is always a feeling out year. for the staff, the players, and the fans. I am looking for "Big Rob" to lead this defense and A&T should be a 6 win team this year. Uncle AJ is going to be at 8 or 9 games this year.. Can't afford the trips to L.A. and D.C. Those letters always seem to cost more to get too.. LOL
Let Go Aggies.. Stop barking, It time to BITE!!!

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Who is - Quinzell Chestnut QB 6-3 205 JR Williamsburg, Va. Lackawana JC What's the deal on this kid? He was a freshman last year at Lackawanna JC. It also looks like he was the #3 qb and only saw action in one game with zero pass attempts. I can't even find high school info on him. walk on.....

Is he a "preferred" walkon or just another kid with a pipe dream?

Even a street football or Holland Bowl all-star who can sense an in-coming car like nobody's business and have the awareness of parked cars, light poles, and all that stuff can make this years team.

Did you make it?
Seriously, how is this year's team shaping up compared to last year's in your opinion?

Uncle AJ ... good job. I, too, am puling for Fobbs to turn this thing around; and, am willing to be patient and give him the time he needs to do what he's being paid to do. I sure hope the rest of the AGGIE faithful do the same.

How can you be so negative when Fobbs inherited this team? 6 wins.. With good defense alone 3 wins are a given. My nephew will be an anchor in the defense. What did you know about Sean Payton... In fact, did you even know who he was before he became the head coach of the New Orleans Saint? Someone had to give him a chance.. Give Coach Fobbs a chance to make it "HIS" team.

Unk, what did you know about A&T? We're so "negative" (I'd say realistic) because we saw this team last year. No exaggeration, this was the worst team in the nation and probably the worst team in conference history. Fobbs has a chance. He's got three more years. It was "his" team the day he signed on the dotted line. Some coaches take lemons and make lemonade, some coaches take lemons and make pits, and some coaches take lemons and make excuses. To Fobbs' credit I ain't heard no excuses come out his mouth. Your nephew may be an anchor in the defense. We won't know that until the season starts. There are some good linebackers here already. He might never see the field. With good defense alone three wins are a given. We had no defense whatsoever last year. We had no offense. We had no special teams. Look here: web1.ncaa.org/d1mfb/2006/Internet/ranking_summary/2006000000488.HTMLWe could be in for a superb turnaround. I think we all hope we are in for a turnaround. I know I do. I also know we weren't merely bad last year. And we weren't as bad as those stats are either. So we have yet to see some lemonade come from lemons. We are thirsty.

It was his team.. But not his players. Players that someone else recruited. As far as Rob hitting the field. I will just let you see for yourself. The only way he is not on the field is if he is hurt. He has already proved he's a good linebacker.. In the SEC!!! Now that's the toughest conference in the nation. So as I said before.. If you can push for starting time behind the #1 linebacker in the draft.. You must be a good player. Rob was SEC defensive freshman of the week .. Ole Miss VS. Vandy.. And that was while his Family was running from Hurricane katrina.. I am not saying the the MEAC is easy.. But it's not the SEC. Robert did get a few starts.. and played well..
But Coach Fobbs will get this ship together.. Yes SHIP!!! lol.
He is a very good coach that has to get some other things in place, but he is well on his way.

The only difference between sec and meac is s&c, coaching, and big boys hampton had 8 players sign w/ nfl teams how many did ole miss have no disrespect but please do not sleep on meac there are always players transfering down that look at meac rosters B'cookman had an all american LB from Florida and no one knows his name and been starting for them for the last two years Larry Harrison started in front of alan branch of U.of Michigan and he said the meac was a lot harder than what he expected also there were only five seniors on the team and maybe 10 jrs rest were true fresh and soph w/ additions this year it is not like there were players from the other coaching staff it was a lot of new faces on last years team just like this year
