we better find a "quality" backup for kindle by opening day or else we may find ourselves in the same situation we were in last year if kindle goes down for an extended period of time... Who said Kindle is starting?

Who has been getting the majority of the snaps? Or better yet, who has been the most impressive?

well, i'm not annointing anyone but, whoever it is...we will see some offensive drives that last longer than 6 downs max. last year, it wasn't until the walkon qb came until we saw longer than 6 play drives.

Kindle is going to be held out of the spring game...Webb and Lewis are the quarterbacks that will be playing in the scrimmage. They have a legitimate QB coach (Pizzo) that is getting them prepared to lead the team whomever is named the starter.

Absolutely...great news. Now our future isn't hinged on one player.

No need in risking a injury here. Its still hasn't been a year since he had the surgery and rehab. Besides those two guys really need the work on their passing timing way more than Kindle. We know both Webb and Lewis can run exceptionally well but which one will step up as the more consistent passer?
Lesson learned from last year. When you have just one quarterback you really have none.

Who said Kindle is starting? if kindle isn't starting, i'd be very concerned unless another qb shows up who i don't know about. personally, from what i saw last season, i don't see either lewis or webb being full time starting qb's at the fcs level. you just can't be one dimensional and succeed at the qb position unless you're running the triple-option almost full time. i like lewis out of the wildcat, but he's only 5'9" tall and would have trouble seeing over linemen when passing out of the pocket. not sure how comfortable and accurate he is passing out of the pocket, he only threw 4 passes all season last year (albeit, he completed all 4), probably because no one expected him to pass. to me, webb just doesn't seem to play with confidence when he's at qb. to me, he seems to be too "tentative" when passing the ball. if we go into the season with either webb or lewis as our full time starting qb, i'd be very concerned unless somehow during the offseason they develop way beyond anyone's expectations...

I think Broadway had a QB at Grambling (Carrothers) with the same attributes as Lewis. Oleschool, what Games did you actually see Webb and Lewis play QB?

Lewis nor Webb really ever had the opportunity to settle in at QB under the old regime. Not to mention their coaching wasn't the best based on the practice drills and prep they were doing. This year we should have at least 2 guys ready. No matter who it is.

I think Broadway had a QB at Grambling (Carrothers) with the same attributes as Lewis. Oleschool, what Games did you actually see Webb and Lewis play QB? the only similarities between lewis and carrothers is their athleticism and size, but that's where the comparison ends. despite his size, carrothers is a very "accurate" passer who stands very comfortably in the pocket. i watched carrothers play several games on tv last year and in fact, i still have his games on my hard drive against prairie view as well as texas southern. the kid is a very "accurate" passer who has "blazing" speed. so he's not "one dimensional" by any stretch. now, lewis wasn't given the opportunity to do very much pocket passing last year and in my judgment, isn't as fast as carrothers. but i would think if he's comfortable in the pocket, throws accurately, reads defenses, and knows the plays (which has been questioned allegedly by his coach), he would have gotten significantly more playing time at qb last year. it ain't like we didn't need help at qb. to answer your question regarding what games i saw, between streaming video, espnu, and attending live games, i don't think i missed any aggie games at all last season...
