Will Johnson did apologize to the coach for his actions. Coach was right in doing what he did. The only difference was that in my day, if you cussed a coach, you probably also had a fight on your hands.

This stuff is hilarious. Boy, you know when someone has ran out of stuff to defend his point when he results to. " I bet you aint never played a lick of football!".
Come one son, players are scrutinized by people that never played on their level all the time. Look at Steven A Smith. Never stepped foot in the NBA and got the biggest mouth on TV. I could name a ton, but it's not even worth it. Some people have great minds and some have great athletic talent. Few have both. Just because someone didn't have athletic talent doesn't mean they dont know anything. Respect is respect, no matter who you are.
sheeet, Bill Cartwright told Jordan "if you ever speak to me like that again I will choke your a$$ to death. I dont care how good you are.". Jordan never spoke to Bill that way again. True story. You are taught to humble yourself when takling to coaches all the way from little league. No Excuse.
My kickoff story: I got kicked off my baseball team for saying out loud that I was the best player they had and everyone else sucked. They won 1 more game after that, but that's not the point.

Haha..Im not saying that I dont respect you guys opinions with regards too football, in fact I respect and appreciate everything that BDF has done for Aggie Football and Aggie Athletics. Dooms, you say youre a lawyer...I watch Matlock and Perry Mason on tv, and can comment on what i woulda, shoulda, and coulda done as the lawyer of a certain case..Without being in that situation and knowing the ins and outs of the legal system, im just like anyone else, a self taught person offering my uneducated comments about the case.... Someone who has never played football, could probably not be able to tell you the difference between cover 1 and cover 4 while a play is being run. Alot of you talk about our db's getting burnt this yr, but if you knew the game and looked at some of the coverages we were in a particular times, it was downright ridiculous and middleschoolish. Our defensive ends were constantly (see Bethune game) being sent to the wrong gaps and had absolutley NO idea how to defend the option. This is all coaching. BC has run the option for countless yrs with success, and I dont know why in the world we had the defensive scheme that we did. This is d1aa ffootball, hell..the MEAC has some great coaching minds, and we're basically taking HS coaches and a lifetime position coaches and expect to win against Joe Taylor and Wyatt....Im not saying that you guys who've never played the game dont know whats going on, but when you watch a game, watch more than the ball. Our defensive plays, whoever called them, were constantly late getting in...and you absolutley cant do that with an 18 year old freshman as your defensive captain and signal caller...and Aggie Monster..Im not even entertaining your comments..
On a side note...Like it or not..That so hard to be Ram video brought back some great memories of being part of a collegiate football team. Any time you get 50 18-24 year olds together, its gonna get wild..whether it be an athletic team, frat, chess club or anything.....Not saying its right though..If you havent ran 17 110's, been through a 2/3 a day camp in over 100 degree heat, sat in a film session for 3 hrs...then please, please, please, dont try to sit here and equate yourself to Steven A Smith or some sports commentator. You just wouldnt understand...and I dont expect you too.

17 110's? Is that all?
Have you ever had to stretch out for a pass while diving across the hood of a buick?
No?
How about tight-roping the out-of-bounds line while ducking your head under a mailbox?
Yeah, I didn't think so.

Alexanders Dad..You're the same guy who yesterday, talked about players being scrub a$$, and sorry...I at least thought you had some kind of credibility as far as having put a helmet on...I guess that's what I get for assuming.

Nope, I guess the only credibility I have is 20/20 vision (when I'm wearing my glasses).
I didnt know you had to run 17 100s to assess talent and break down film.

"Never argue with a fool. Someone watching from a distance may not be able to tell the difference". - African proverb
Steven A Smith played college ball at WSSU, and is getting paid for talking about multi millionairre athletes. To say that you can judge talent? I understand football, and when kids come out of high schoo, with 4 stars and all state credentials..i can tell when theyre not being coached. Montry Jackson was probably the best athlete to come out of A&T in the last 10 yrs..ran a 4.30, benched over 400 lbs and aggressive and who definitley passes the eye test. What scout wouldnt be intrigued by someone that big, who can run that well? When i say i thought Wil Billingsley and Rickie Lewis among others deserved a shot at the next level, Im looking at their talent level, workout numbers, compared with others that I see acheiving highly at the next level...aka..Marcus Lewis, Jason Horton, Junius Coston etc...Im done, going back in forth w/ you guys..Coastals QB was drafted this yr, Nkange from Elon, DLineman from central etc..If some of our guys were in these other programs, im curious to see what kind of position that they would be in as of now..Obviously youre clueless and have to resort to jokes, to hide the fact thta youve never seen the inside of a playbook or cant tell me the difference between a nickle package and dime package...Ironically, I'm on my way to the triad area for business, so ill try to stop by the bryan center and field to see how workouts are coming...Ill let you all know if i see anything positive..

jaffejoffa, you really need to experience the world more. I know it may seem hard to believe but most sports writers and sportscasters did not play college sports. I, myself, played HS basketball. Then I went to college and ... after a long azz time ...I finally got a degree in communications. After that I worked for a while in professional sports. Part of my job was to provide analysis on the players on our roster.
Not to come off like my man Mr. Freeze here, but I say all that to tell you that I have worked with many sports talk show radio hosts, beat writers, broadcasters and PR people and most of them are fat old white dudes whose idea of athletic competition is playing tetris on their computers.
Just because you played at A&T doesn't mean your view on fooball is the gospel.

BTW: I could have sworn that quote you just posted came from Jay-Z's verse in the Takeover.
I guess I learn something new everyday.

Jaffe,
More people than you know have "put a helmet on" so don't patronize everyone by saying "look at more than the ball". You can play decent defensively even with bad schemes if you have talent and desire. But that's all you get is "decent". We weren't even decent last year on defense for a long list of reasons, including the coaching merry-go-round.
Maybe they seemed to be in middleschoolish coverages because that's all they could teach, understand or execute. As far as the option goes, Small couldn't defend it either. Neither could Hayes but they were smart enough to know that your linebackers have to be superior athletes in order to compensate for mental mistakes that they may make. The option doesn't work in pros not because of coaching, but because the athletes are too fast to fool without recovering.
That's the reason I'm giving Fobbs this season to get better. His assistant coaches certainly leave a lot to be desired but "it is what it is". Most of the guys that played major minutes last year did not go through spring drills in 2006. This year is different. Let's see what happens.
