When you played for Hayes, did this sort of thing ever occur?

Oh yeah, all the time.
It also happened when I played center field for the Yankees and I was the starting quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys.
The only time this never occured was the year I won the Stanley Cup with the Toronto Maple Leaves.

I'll have you know that I was one of the best players in my neighborhood when we played street football. I could sense an in-coming car like nobody's business.

What does having played for A&T have to do with undermining a coach's authority and paying the penalty for it?
I'll wait...

People sleep on how hard it is to become a street football all-star. You have to be aware of parked cars, light poles, all that stuff ...

Dude, I got kicked off of the track team for cursing out my coach. I thought he didn't respond quick enough to a situation where I hit a teammate in the mouth for teasing me. The coach jumped at me screaming.

Man, I got kicked off the football team for cursing out the coach at the start of the season. I was the starting f-ing qb. My right guard was getting me creamed running the veer in practice with his non-blocking behind. I cursed him out furiously and the coach told me to watch my mouth. So I let him the coach have it. Coach told me to turn in my playbook, period.

But you were just a snotty nose, 9-year-old pip squeak at the time. If you were a 5th-yr senior in college the coach should have cut you some slack.

I mean I'm really intelligent, but I was way older than nine when I was in high school.
I was expecting him to cut me some slack because I overheard a few of the coaches talking about how well I ran the offense (despite the fact I had no height and no arm).
I believed my own press and I paid the price. Too bad I didn't have an internet army to support my actions.
