I have been a fan of bluedeathvalley for along time now and viewed a lot statements that have been true and for the most part been imaginary tales. The reason why I get on the website so much is to see and hope that there was someone with same opinions as myself b/c i did not feel i had a voice in the direction of the program. Now all of us that get on this site have one thing in common and that is we want to see the best for athletic department but more imortantly we love the football program. This might get lengthy because i will probably not post anything else on this site. First off i would like to say athletes have to be molded the only difference between A&T and the UNC's are a couple of inches coming out of H.S. and most importantly teaching of the game. A coach is paid to know the tendencies of the opposing teams and put players in best situation to win. Thats the easy part the hard part of being a coach is getting your players to play for you (trust) and teaching them techniques to be successfull as we all know this. However, most of think that if you come from the UNC's you gotta be good at what you do and that is not true. Every player that drops down and every coach is going to have a step on a lower level. Which bothers me like no other when we hear of a player dropping down or a coach 1a experience is going to saved the day. There is a reason why eight players from hampton are getting a shot at the next level and player from elon getting drafted but hampton not being able to make it out of the first round of the playoffs. I wish all you aggie football fans with 4 or more stars under your name would really pay attention to those new comers on your site b/c you really do not know who is behind the computer screen trying to inform you what is really going on and have the courage to speak up. So you might be warning or discrediting people who have an INsight opinion on the matter that is being talked about but just b/c you speak well in press conferences and you have 1a experience do not be fooled by the hype. There is no difference between a lexus and toyota but a name i will ask are you a winner have you moved up in the ranks of coaching and can you give players the best opportunities to succed without making excusses. Sadly to say some of things that have been posted on this forum these past couple of days are not rumors and did not come from third parties and i am amazed that someone said and knew about the things that truely happen this season. Finally, congrats to Rickie Lewis for being invited to the calgary stampeders, all the former aggies playing the local greensboro team and few guys on last years team who some thought did not have a snow balls chance playing at next level b/c higher powers truely hindered there progress (not a rumor) if you go 0-11 or 3-8 you should not have players on teams that scouts should take a look at unless you have a good athletes but were not coached. Haynes had great reputation of bringing in good talent.

Japan, welcome to the board and thanks for sharing your comments.
However, please know that this will never be a board were random people will be allowed to log on and make wild accusations behind the safety and anonymity of their computer screen without offering any documented facts, sources or proof whatsoever to back their claims up. In my opinion that is paramount to slander.
I welcome heated discussions on this board and value people who have a different viewpoint than the status quo. On this same thread you will see that I have been going back and forth with several posters concerning the resignation of our strength and conditioning coach. I feel one way, they feel another.
However, if someone feels the need to throw dirt on a current or past A&T athletic official without any attempt to back their claims up ... well then, they can just post that stuff on another site.
That will not be tolerated here.

oh what a tangled webb we weave when we are always trying to deceive....
a&t has a chance to do the right thing for a change or will they drop the ball again...
1) hire a staff of strength coaches so each program can bennefit... because every program doesn't have anyone with strength & conditioning experience like track & baseball!!!
2) weigh your options & out-source the strength & conditioning so each program can bennefit!!!
3) take notice of the key phrase here.... "so each program can bennefit!!!"
4) why hire 1 strength coach for all the athletic programs when everybody knows only football is going to bennefit.... makes no sense.... makes me think the other athletes don't matter....

Alexanders Dad....You just dont know....You have the slightest clue...Everything will come to light in due time..
You seem to think that I am a random person, who makes up info...Couldnt be further from the truth...I have sources to back up my information, but obviously cant reveal names...If you dont mind, what is your affilliation to Aggie Football ?(w/o revealing too much information)
DJ98- Youre right, All-Meac doesnt = NFL tryout..But it does equal and warrant having a few scouts come time you on your campus....Many of your forget that Deloatch was a walkon, molded and trained by Hayes & staff into an NFL prospect.....I cant see that happening under Fobbs tuteledge and program

True story... please name one so-called "veteran player" on our team last year who had a snowball's chance in hell of making an NFL roster. I am sure Fobbs had to really work hard to convince all those NFL scouts from drafting Wilbert Billingsley and Jermaine Brantley. Alexanders Dad... Wilbert Billingsley started games in 2003 as a redshirt freshman, alongside Curtis Deloactch (4 year NFL Player) and played extremely well...Jermaine Brantley STARTED as a true freshman over senior Marcus Lewis, who spent the entire last season with the Cincinnatti Bengals and is currently with the Lions. Who on this board can honestly say that they believed Marcus Lewis had a snow balls chance in hell of making a team? Believe it or not, there is not much a difference between the talent level in the MEAC, and the ACC, just a few key players, technique and coaching development. Scouts get paid to find that diamond in the rough, and they do it everyday.. Hence players from Elon, coastal carolina, hampton, getting drafted over some major conference players in 07'...... Now if after these two particular freshman stayed in Aggieland for four years and have not developed into good enough prospects to at least warrant having a pro timing day, then this is what is exactly wrong with our program. Lack of skilled coaches, everything being disorganized and a lack of stability. Alexander's Daddy or anyone else who may know, I know college buddy Doug Williams got Fobbs the job, but what is Fobbs reputation in the coaching world and what kind of contacts does he have ?

Fobbs has tallied about 30 years of collge coaching experience, with the majority of that time spent at some pretty big named 1-A programs. So obviously his list of contacts is pretty strong. However, he has never risen past the rank of position coach on the 1-A level, which is pretty remarkable considering all the different programs and opportunities he has found himself in. I belive he was a head coach on the HS level once and coordinator for a D2 team, but his current dual role as HC and OC for a 1-AA program is definitely new territory.
Secondly, its good to see Marcus Lewis landed on a pro roster (if that is indeed the same guy), but he was already very touted when he transfered here from Clemson. I wouldn't necessarily call him a diamond in the rough like Deloatch. I doubt he will be on a NFL team this season after the final cuts are made in training camp. And seriously dude, if you think Billingsley and Brantely warranted serious looks from a pro scout then you obviously do not know how to judge football talent. Both of those guys were way too slow to make the transition to next level. Billingsley was a tweener here at A&T so you know there was not any true position he could play in the NFL. Do you really think Will Bill could be a NFL corner... or a safety ... or an outside lineback. Get real.
BTW: For you to even ask what my relationship to the A&T football program is tells me right away that you are truly an outsider. My face, name and contact information is posted on the site for everyone to see. I have enjoyed numeorus sitdowns with members of the coaching staff, team and athletic administration and I am out at most of the practices, games and press conferences. Unlike you, I don't have to hide behind a computer screen and attempt to spread false information and smear people.

I'm not trying to smear anyone...But some of you guys are naive to the facts and dont truly know the ppl leading these young men..None of the information that i have posted is false, nor am I trying to discredit this staff....They will do that on their own

And yes, that is the same Marcus Lewis....What are Billingsley and Brantley's 40 times? And im not saying that they should have been 1st round draft picks, just placed in the position to get the opportunity to show what they could do...

You call it naive, I call it not being reckless and not making wild accusations until I have some proof to support those claims.
If what you say is 100 percent true then why not offer some real evidence or sources so someone can challenge you on it? All you are doing is acting like a 13 year old girl, running on the internet to spread the latest gossip. You take all these shots at Fobbs, who is in the public light, but as a critic you continue to hide behind the anonymity of your computer screen.
Maybe you would be better suited posting your "facts" on a myspace page or something.

Four years of being mediocre 1-AA football players was all the opportunity they needed.
