Obviously you didn't watch A&T football during the entire 99 season. Klugh was the quarterback of that defense. Carpenter had more physical talent but Klugh made all the big plays. Go find some footage of the FAMU game that year and you will see firsthand just how much he dominated.

Going through this old thread is a good laugh .. Not to bring up old issues, but I def think that some people around here need to change their mentality and let others offer some commentary that makes since. If you dont know what you're talking about, do us all a favor and fall back just a taste. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's amazing how Black Folks always want to hate on somebody doing the right thing in the worst of ways. It also blows my mind how people who have know knowledge of football or cant judge talent sit back and demean folk . Judging from alot of comments made here in the past, it must be about -20 and snowing in hell right about now .. Other than Billingsley, we've definitley had some players over the last few years that deserved a shot at the next level ..

I drove from Chicago to the Youngstown State game. I have footage of it also.

The only good highlights from that game were some great plays made by Darryl Klugh. I still think we would have given them more of a battle is Mo Smith was healthy.

Taylor spent 16 years as the Hampton coach before accepting the Florida A&M job on Dec. 31. His strategy? Developing players when they join the team through a strength and conditioning program that mirrors the programs of top I-A schools.

How many assistant S&C coaches does Hampton have? The top 1-A schools have entire S&C staffs.

Last year, some A&T's players stated with amazement at how the Hampton's players were much more conditioned than they were.
