At what point do we start calling for this dude to relinquish his OC duties? He's orchestrated the 4 worse games in a row that I have ever seen. Period! On any level.
I gave him a pass when Kindle went down. I thought he would right the ship after seeing what happened against WSSU. With Webb's athleticism I can see how he thought he might be the best option. Webb just got gun shy and had a very bad game. It happens, but since then this is what I've seen.
Unprepared players - the offense does not look crisp. plays are late coming in and we are looking rushed prior to the snap. Especially on 3rd down.
Staying with stuff that stinks - It's plays we have tried that haven't worked all year. Dont do it no more man!
Morgan hasn't been put in good positions - Morgan isn't a "world beater". He's and average HBCU QB, so dont try and lay the game on his shoulders. Manage it better for him. Any down(including 3rd down) when its only 3 yards to go. Hand the ball off. Stop asking him to throw an out pattern or drop back and throw a slant. Give the ball to Mayhew or Drake. Live to fight another day.
Good things have happened when we go vertical - I thought our receivers were 10 times more talented than their DBs. Mix up the play calling on 1st down and we could have done some damage a few times with our BIG receivers. I saw our big number 81 or 85 matched 1on1(no help) with NCCU's 5'8 guy a few times. Its either a flag or TD.
I haven't seen any setup plays - Let me first start by saying that I'm SO HAPPY the stretch play is out of the play book. I still haven't seen any plays that have a follow play. The reverse was a disaster when we finally ran it after faking it 3 times prior.
Going away from stuff that did work - The left run was killing them. We stuck with it in the first quarter until that turnover and I was impressed that we stuck with it. For some reason we started running right more.
I also did not see the Wildcat one time in the 2nd half. What the hell? It went for 5 yards once and a 11 TD the other. If we had came with it in the 3rd a few times we probably would have scored or at the very least avoided a couple of turnovers.
Dude is horrible. Cut your losses Lee. Or use your head coaching hand to straighten him out.

Exactly who is the oc? Don't we have two? Maybe that's part of the problem. Conflicting philosophies.

A little play action would help as well. This would get eight men out of the box until some one stop you run the same old stuff SOS.

If Jimmy Raye (OC) can get fired today by the 49ers, so can the OC at A&T.......

I hear you. If Berry was smart he would look to Rickey Lewis.
As far as firing the oc not going to happen. We dont make changes like that. Maybe Lee and company get it turned around. It may not be until next year but it will be the same set of coaches.

This is actually pretty ironic. We played TSU in the Circle City Classic in the 5th Game of 2005 as well. Two things to note of when the change was made: 2005 we were 2-3 and in 2010 we are 0 - fer 2005 we were 98th in total offense and in 2010 we are 114th (out of 117 schools ) N.C. A&T dismisses offensive coordinatorBy Rob Daniels Staff Writer GREENSBORO -- N.C. A&T has fired Kent Schoolfield after only five games as offensive coordinator for unspecified reasons and replaced him with offensive line coach Chennis Berry.Associate athletics director Wheeler Brown confirmed Schoolfield was dismissed Wednesday, but he declined to elaborate, citing university and state policies concerning personnel issues. Attempts to reach the 59-year-old coach were unsuccessful. He neither owns property in Guilford County nor has local, land-based phone service. Schoolfield, an accomplished head coach at Division II Fort Valley (Ga.) State who hired Berry in 2001, inherited a struggling Aggie offense and did not achieve appreciably different results in the first five games of 2005. The Aggies (1-1 MEAC, 2-3) stand 98th or lower out of the NCAA's 117 Division I-AA teams in three of the four major statistical categories for team offense.Asked if he had philosophical differences with Schoolfield, coach George Small said, "No, not really. Just wanted to go in a different direction, hopefully." Small said he wasn't aware of anything unrelated to football that could have contributed to Schoolfield's departure. Aggie players said they were told of the move Wednesday. "A couple of people asked why," senior wide receiver Brandon Trusty said. "For me, it took a minute to sink in. If there was an answer, I was tuning it out because I didn't want to deal with it. Coach Schoolfield and I had bonded. It was a blow to me. But coach Small sat down and talked with me about it." Schoolfield, a Florida A&M graduate, was a member of Bobby Bowden's first staff at Florida State in 1976. In July, he was a finalist for A&M's suddenly vacant head coaching job in July, only a few months after he arrived at A&T from Division III Capital University in his hometown of Columbus, Ohio. He served as a part-time assistant at Capital after leaving Fort Valley State, which he led to three NCAA Division II tournaments in six seasons. One of his assistants at Fort Valley State was Berry, a 1996 Savannah State graduate who first worked for Small at Kentucky State in 1997 and who has been at A&T for all of Small's three-year tenure.
"It wasn't my decision, of course," Berry said of Schoolfield's dismissal. "But I owe it to the football program, coach Small, the team as a whole and these seniors to continue to keep this thing going.
"Coach Schoolfield is a great person who has been very instrumental in my life. He has been a mentor, a father figure, an uncle figure and a friend."
The A&T running game has been hindered by injuries to two of its top three backs, and the passing element has not fared well. The Aggies attempted only eight passes in this past Saturday's 16-3 win over Tennessee State.Berry said he doesn't anticipate radical changes in approach as A&T prepares for Saturday's game against Morgan State in Landover, Md. "Coach Small will let me do what I think is best to move the football and score points," he said. "By any means necessary. We'll definitely have a balance of run and pass. Nothing different. The same stuff we've been doing. It comes down to execution."

Here we go again with the "firing" cry !!!!! Did not take long . Man, this is getting crazy ! unfortunately, when you start what was thought to be a promising season by going 0-4, unexpectedly losing to both of our arch rivals, and looked gawd awful doing it, that's what happens. it comes with the territory. we've been through a lot as a fan base and many of our folk had just started coming back to football games again. no sooner our folk start selling out games again, we stink up the joint on the football field. all of my enthusiasm for the season has pretty much evaporated. what's there to look forward to? geesh...

No kidding I have no level of excitement. There would have to be a drastic change. Maybe we as fans so ourself a bill of goods. after all the media outlets projected us to finish in the bottom quarter maybe they knew something we did not consider.
But I still beleive this is a very talented team. Far more talent than any of the opponents we lost to.

We have beat ourselves (no help from the refs either) with simple mistakes and really should be 3-1 or 4-0. We have the pieces and I have not given up on this team...I will be a true fan and not a fan only when we win.

And lets be clear. I'm not calling for Lees head. the offense is whats needs the work. shoot, i don't see nothing on defense to write home to mom about either! we couldn't even protect a lead against wssu, hampton had a friggin' "field day" on us, and central still moved the ball on us far more than i would've liked. when we're 0-4 and also lose to central and winston, nobody gets a pass! as far as i'm concerned, nothing is acceptable about this football team except a friggin' win! personally, i don't want hear anything about moral victories, this looks good, that looks good, and things like that. if you think i'm a tad bit pissed with our team, then you're correct! hail, i've had my official life member "trash talking card" completely "revoked" by the national azz kicking authorities and suspended for the rest of the season! and they won't even let me re-apply under a different name! that's how bad we suck! man, i've never felt so "defenseless" in my entire born life than i did leaving central's stadium saturday night. my "trash talking card" got revoked right on the spot! there i was proudly dressed in aggie gold from head to toe and when i left the stadium, central's fans "heckled" the living hail outta me! and i couldn't say jack back to them! i'm like, man, i drove 4 hours to get here and sweated thru 3 quarters for this? say what ya want about fobbs, but even after 22 consecutive losses, he never loss to both central and winston in the same friggin' season! geeesh! and i'm not gonna point any fingers (yet), but man, it don't get much worst than this. i'm gonna need some personal time to regroup. 'cause i ain't taking these losses very well...
