Right on bigpeete1. If Kindle is the best we have as QB then we are in trouble. Quick won one of the biggest games ever at A&T and he has not been seen or heard from since. That is ridiculous. A smart coach would not let him "rot" on the bench with all of his talents. I believe he would have excelled in the rainy elements at Hampton. Our team has declined in its performance in every game since the App State game and that is in part to Kindle being the "starting" QB. Our players don't even respond to Kindle as they did Quick in Boone. They know who the real QB should be starting. They don't play for Kindle as they do Quick and you would see that if the coach would quit being stubborn and play him. It don't take a "brain surgeon" to figure that out. This is my last statement concerning Kindle and Quick for the moment. Lol be careful what you ask for, you may get it lol.

We put him in when we're backed up on our own 2-yard line. Also the o-line was terrible today.

I MADE A MISTAKE, QUICK IS NOT A QB, BUT AN ATHLETE PLAYING QB. A POSITON CHANGE (SAFETY OR RECEIVER) AND A LITTLE WILD CAT MIGHT HELP HIS CAREER OUT IN THE FUTURE.

He played well enough to beat an App team. Coach Broadway killed his momentum and confidence by not starting him the next game. When he played against DSU he did not look confident as he did in Boone. He is a better player than what he showed this past Sat.
Kindle was no better and he is a fifth year senior.

IT DON'T TAKE MUCH FOR A COACH TO KILL A KID CONFIDENCE. HE SHOULD HAVE NOT BEEN BENCH AFTER THE APP. GAME. I HAVE ALWAYS FELT QUICK UPSIDE WAS BETTER THAN KINDLE. KINDLE HAS ALWAYS BEEN OVER-RATED. I HOPE HE HANG IN THERE AND NOT TRANSFER OUT

Quick got treated like Josh Freeman got treated last night in Minnesota. They brought dude in at the 1 YARD LINE for his first series since the AppSt game. Then they ran plays that clearly didn't highlight his strengths. There were no designed QB runs. There were no rollout passing plays. I don't even recall Quick getting the chance to do a read option with Cohen in the backfield. They threw Quick in the game, asking him to be a better Lewis Kindle instead of asking him to be Keyshawn Quick....
Personally, I got the sense the staff was more focused on giving Kindle a brief benching than they were on giving Quick a legitimate chance to succeed. There was nothing about the plays Quick ran that suggested to me the staff was interested in seeing him do well. Folks may not like that, but for anyone who went to the game, I think Quick wasn't given a decent chance at all to move our team.
Again, I feel it is incumbent upon our staff to do whatever necessary to enhance out chances of winning. Quick was treated like a sacrificial lamb on Saturday......

The QB from Durham flunked out (at least this is what I was told). Quick was not even recruited to play QB he was recruited as a DB. I think the reason they play Kindle over Quick is that Kindle looked a lot better in practice than Quick. To be honest Quick does not look that good in practice. If you were just someone at practice and had never seen either one of them play and did not know who they were you would feel that Kindle was the starting QB.

Quick is not a QB he is and athlete that happens to play QB for now. I don't know if the Durham kid flanked out are not, because the word was that he was going to transfer anyway but for what ever reason he is not their A&T needs to find a QB that can lead this team not only by his play on the field but off the field.

gonna be a big challenge at the qb position particularly next year unless bamiro or quick can step up. from what i saw on film, i think bamiro certainly has the “physical tools” to be a good qb at this level, but i’m not so sure that he has the “composure and decision making tools” to be a good qb. i think we’re either gonna have to recruit a “stud” qb right out of high school for next year or perhaps a (God forbid) juco or an experienced fbs transfer...

I would think that any number of good qbs would jump at the chance to play for the man that coached Mike Vick. That is, if he isn't run off by "fans."

Were there a bunch of blue chippers who signed with ULL for the chance to play for the man that coached Mike Vick?
Thus far, Broadway and his staff have not shown the ability to recruit a decent college quarterback. Hopefully Bustle can change that.

You forgot about Belcher. He was more than decent, just not in the classroom.
Well, how many did they recruit at Gramblling? About zero.
Broadway generally recruits projects and players that should be able to stick and get better as the years pass. If y'all wanted the recruiting acumen of Coach Lee, you should've kept Coach Lee. Broadway is simply not going to recruit like that.
I guess we'll be hoping hard that Bustle can change that since he didn't recruit too many at ULL. Thanks for pointing that out.

Fun fact: Broadway actually tried to recruit Kindle when he was Grambling ... but lost out to Alonzo Lee.

Thus far, Broadway and his staff have not shown the ability to recruit a decent college quarterback. Hopefully Bustle can change that. That is factually correct, but to be fair there has only been two recruiting classes. He did land Belcher and it didn't work out. The jury is still out on Bamiro and Dawson.
