I don't think Quick technically got "benched". Broadway just decided to waste two years of his eligibility because he needed somebody to fill in for Kindle when get got suspended this year and last year. But I don't think Quick ever won the job over Kindle to put himself in position to get benched. How was last year wasted? Quick had playing time in all four games of the season ending winning streak. Quick came off the bench against Norfolk last year for Homecoming and turned the game around. We wouldn't have won that game without him. Quick 3 for 7 for 31 yards and 70 rushing yards with a TD Kindle 6 for 10 for 37 yards and 3 ints (all in the first half) He started the next game against FAMU, which we also won. With the problems we have with retention, Broadway needs to play his horses while he has them. We could look up and Quick is playing for Maynor at WSSU. Having said that, the Norfolk game last year makes it even more odd that Quick didn't get a shot in the second half... If we look up and Quick is playing for WSSU , It will not be at QB. Maynor / Hayes know better . Lol

I think Quick should get some reps especially if you are going to run the read option. I'm glad that T. Cohen is getting more carries, this was puzzling to me more in previous games than Quick not getting some reps.

Two of Kindle's interceptions against HU were passes that his WR's should have caught and Broadway stated the same thing himself. no matter what, if kindle messes up, there's gonna be a certain number of folks who are gonna blast the guy. many of whom probably wasn't even at the game to see it first hand. i fail to see anybody point out the fact that the game was influenced by rain during the game which made it more difficult to hold onto the ball (for the wr's) and more difficult to pass the ball...

OSA you should know by now that the back up gets all the pump after a lose lol. From the yardage and time that we had the ball the only mistake I saw was we stopped running the ball when we should't have. Also we didn't use the TE but went deep.

Hey Decks, there are a lot of mofo's who are dissatisfied with Kindle's play. More than you think. Most of them don't participate on this site but they are out there. I just can't see coach Broadway not using Quick at all in game situations. He has too much talent to be sitting on the damn bench. Hell, Kindle ain't all of that. Most coaches would have benched Kindle after his performance in the first half in Hampton. I have talked to numerous fans who went to that game and they can't believe Quick was not inserted into the line up. Our coaching staff for some odd reason took almost half of the season to discover that we have a rookie running back (Cohen) that is the best on the team. Yeah, I am questioning some of Broadway's decisions. I know he has brought us from nowhere to somewhere but he also has made coaching mistakes. I am glad he is here and I applaud what he has done in a short period of time. However, that does not excuse the sloppy play in the last several games. That comes from coaching. I don't know who the special teams coach is but he needs to be reassigned.
Now back to Quick ... he should get more playing time if not start. He should be played in every game from hence forth to keep the defenses confused. It don't take a "brain surgeon" to figure that out.
Decks the Mofo's are pissed.

OSA, QUIT MAKING EXCUSES ABOUT THE ELEMENTS. BOTH TEAMS PLAYED IN THE RAIN. THAT AIN'T NO EXCUSE FOR US LOOSING TO A 0-5 TEAM. STOP IT!

QUICK AND COHEN WOULD BE A LETHAL COMBINATION IN THE BACKFIELD.

QUICK AND COHEN WOULD BE A LETHAL COMBINATION IN THE BACKFIELD. Be careful what you ask for with Quick at QB . I just don't see him as A&T's QB of the future, unless we go to a run based system, but as long as we are in this spread system Quick is not your man on the passing side of the game . Kindle may not be a great runner but he gives us more options at QB then Quick would at this time . Also I keep saying this over and over, we have to start using the TE more this gives us more options and will open up the field for your speedier receivers .

STOP IT! please show me as little as "one sentence" where i've stated that we loss because of the rain? as usual, you're being confrontational under false pretenses. never once did i state that we loss because of the rain. what i did say was that the game was "influenced" by rain. dude, please get your facts straight...

Some of you think that because HU was 0 and 5 that they must not have had some good talent. HU has a lot of talent. That's why they fired their OC because they knew they had talent but were not gettting out of them what they should have. The players and some of the coaches felt they were running the wrong offence. They installed a new offence just a week before they played us and I was told that the players really bought into this new offence, and it show in their play. I know we made some mistakes but that was not the main reason we lost the game. Hu's attitude and their sence of urgency was part of the reason they won the game. Hu will probably win some more games this season.

All this back and forth discussion about Kindle and Quick is pointless. Here's the bottom line...Kindle is the best we got for this year! Period, end of conversation. As coaches like to say..."he gives us the best chance to win games." It may be a 50/50 or 30/70 chance to win but it's our best chance. Heck everyone that has watched more than three offensive series knows what Kindle can and cannot do. And in the right situation, against the right opponent, Kindle will win games. So if Quick isn't playing it's because he cannot out perform Kindle in the game. The coaches do not believe Quick gives us "the best chance to win games." I think between Coach Broadway and all the coaching experience we now have at A&T they really can evaluate talent. And if Quick isn't playing, it isn't because our coaching staff is too dumb or stubborn to play him. It's because he doesn't "give us the best chance to win on that Saturday." Now I hate that we are in this situation but shuffling QB's isn't going to solve it. Especially since our coaches have indicated that "Kindle gives us the best chance to win." So here's my recommendation...for the rest of this football season, relax and try being more of a happy fan rather than a frustrated coach. It will work wonders for your blood pressure. Heck, it helped mine! Now I must admit, I was just as pizzed-off as you guys when we lost to Hampton. But after it sunk into my thick skull that our back-up QB must not be very good either and there were no "free agents" we could trade for, I decided to just stop worrying about this football season. You may also want to repeat this prayer several times during the next game: God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference. Here's where I am today...I'm dealing with this year's football team like I'm dealing with the A&T football radio crew...eventually it will get better and nothing I can do will change the situation today. I just hope it isn't too much longer coming.
