THE TEAM WAS COMING ONE OF THE BIGGEST FOOTBALL VICTORIES IN A&T'S HISTORY. HE MANAGED THE GAME OK.

Broadway has stated many times that you earn your job week to week. Apparently, Kindle earned to start after the App. State victory. Broadway is not perfect but he dang sure knows what he is doing. He does not like to lose and if he thought Quick would give the team a better chance to win, he would play him.
Before yesterday, I don't think Kindle had thrown an interception this season (correct me if I am wrong). He picked a helluva time to throw 3 interceptions. Time will tell during practice this week whether Kindle earns another start.
I agree with Aggie One. Kindle makes poor decisions, doesn't know how/when to throw the ball away and dances at the line instead of running north-south.

The saying goes that the most popular player on a football teams is usually the backup quarterback. Certainly that applies to Aggie fans as I honestly can't remember the last time we weren't calling for the backup qb. Seems like only yesterday that we were clamoring for Shelton Morgan to replace Carlton Fears and then Kindle to replace Morgan and now Quick to replace Kindle? Lol, if nothing else we are consistent.

.....but with the performance this weekend, you don't think it's justified? ? I'm on record stating that Kindle is clearly the better passer. But when he has as many passes going to the opposition as he does his own team, he needs some time on the pine.

I JUST THINK IT WAS ODD TO BENCH THE KID AFTER A BIG VICTORY

I don't think Quick technically got "benched".
Broadway just decided to waste two years of his eligibility because he needed somebody to fill in for Kindle when he got suspended this year and last year.
But I don't think Quick ever won the job over Kindle to put himself in position to get benched.

He should technically be in year 1.

Besides this season isn't over yet.

From what I read about him, I think Belcher was the qb of the future here. Too bad he couldn't stick.

You are right Doom. Belcher was going to be "the" QB. They recruited Quick to be a DB but it did not work out that way. Two of Kindle's interceptions against HU were passes that his WR's should have caught and Broadway stated the same thing himself. From the look of things in practice Yesterday Kindle is still the starting QB. Also in practice it looked as if Tarik C. will be the starter at RB.

But I don't think Quick ever won the job over Kindle to put himself in position to get benched. How was last year wasted? Quick had playing time in all four games of the season ending winning streak. Quick came off the bench against Norfolk last year for Homecoming and turned the game around. We wouldn't have won that game without him. Quick 3 for 7 for 31 yards and 70 rushing yards with a TD Kindle 6 for 10 for 37 yards and 3 ints (all in the first half) He started the next game against FAMU, which we also won. With the problems we have with retention, Broadway needs to play his horses while he has them. We could look up and Quick is playing for Maynor at WSSU. Having said that, the Norfolk game last year makes it even more odd that Quick didn't get a shot in the second half...

Dag you all. Quick should have started game two after defeating App State. He deserved that and was denied that opportunity because of a bull jive rule that whoever looks better in practice will start. Quick played his butt off at App and made great decisions. He made one interception that did not really hurt us.
Broadway had made up his mind that Kindle was going to be the starter no matter what. That practice rule is a bunch of baloney. I believe he is starting Kindle to save face for letting him come back from that DWI. Kindle has had maybe two good games in 5 damn years and one was this year against Elon. Other than that he has not shown me "jack".
Some say he is a better passer than Quick. I beg to differ. Look at all of the open men he missed at Hampton. He has fumbleitis also. He is certainly not a better runner than Quick and that is a fact. He does not make good decisions as Quick and he holds the ball too dag long.
Quick deserves another chance to be the starter. He should have not been benched in the first place. I believe the players will rally around Quick better and play for him better than for Kindle. That was evident at App. Our team has gone down hill ever since that game and could have lost some games that we won.
Kindle is not going to be at A&T next year as a player anyway so why not get Quick ready for next year.
Coach Broadway I thought you made better decisions than you have shown this year and sometimes last year. Quit playing politics with the qb and rb's and put the best players on the field.

Can we pleeeeeeeease let Broadway coach this team as he sees fit!? We are 8-3 over our last eleven games with no spring practice and a scholarship deficit and some of you mofo's still aren't satisfied. Have we completely forgotten about the 27 game losing streak and the embarassment of being on APR sanctions? C'mon folks, let's not lose our sense of perspective. To call Broadways coaching into question is totally out of order!

I just had a problem with trotting Kindle's a$$ out there in the 2nd half of the Hampton game after throwing 3 INTs in one half - with one of those being returned for 6, and another returned to where they were set up to score another 6.....
I'm not even saying Quick had to play the rest of the Hampton game - Kindle should have been pulled briefly, verbally reprimanded and brought back in the game. None of this happened. To me, Kindle is not head-and-shoulders above Quick to where he's our starting QB for ALL 60 MINUTES OF A GAME, no matter what happens.
After that 3rd INT - Kindle's a$$ should have been on the bench, with Quick to finish the rest of the first half at QB. If Kindle was back at QB in the 2nd half - fine....but as long as he would have gotten pulled to prove to him that his repetitive mistakes have consequences.

I have to totally agree with your statements and when you factor in that the only thing Quick as accomplished this reason is leading us to a great win at App St. The bottom line is good team or not a win at App St with there fans going crazy at their first home game and we playing our first game with out spring ball is no small accomplishment. Then we sit him on the bench like he had three interception to a winless team all in the first half. I supported the coaching staff going with Kindle the second game because in my opinion that gave them the opportunity to see both in game conditions but Kindle didn't blow Quick out the water and I was always excepting to see some kind of package with Quick just to give defenses something to think about so not seeing him in the game last Saturday was and still puzzling to me and I think other Aggies on this site But with all that I still have faith in the coaching staff they will move the team in the right direction but I still am confused
