Dooms you don't have to point anything out to me I knew you was crazy anyway.
How is that gonna take. Read my lips "He is training while on the JOB" We got to go through another freaky 3 years before we see results. Man whatever.
Man you have lost your ever lasting mind. If he was so dam good why is he just becoming a HC?
Man I would take Monroe or Asberry over any non-proving HC. Prime example is Coach Hayes.
Actually your facts is wrong it was B. Cookman ranked right below us. How can you say Norkfolk does not care anything about football and they went out and got them a white coach(Pete A.) who has now ranked them in the top three the last two year. This year was there rebuilding year.

As Trues said yesterday, we are going to end up with 50% of the staff returning from three yrs ago. Lee head coach and DC, Chennis OL & OC, Oliver DB, and Rags staying with us as Asst. HC and RB coach. The more things change , the more they stay the same. It's nice to see us being environmentally sound and using the recycling program. Welcome back to the board, wart.

Norfolk and A&T ended up with about same record. Don't forget that Norfolk's coach was a defensive coordinator under Shine at BCC for years without any head experience as well before NSU picked him.
But a word of caution trues when drawing comparisons with NSU. They were truly underacheivers in 2008 considering what they had recruited talent wise up there and were picked third in the preseason.
I really wouldn't compare their so-called superior coach as a some sort of barometer comparison to Lee since they ended up ony one game better than we did in 2008. I mean damn, Fobbs and Ragsdale did manage three wins with a team with no leadership at all.
I think I would hold off making predictions until after the national signing day for recruits and spring practice. Then you my be able to draw some conclusions by then.
I will say just this. We do have already ten (7 in-state) solid commitments in hand a month out of the national signing day which for us in remarkable for a program that has gone 3-35 the last three years including that big pro style QB that who you've been begging us to recruit for going on five years now.
Another 19 are due on campus next weekend when the basketball teams are back in town and these kids get to experience the atomsphere of the fabled Dawg Pound, the whole school and student body up close and personal.
All I am say saying is not to get premature on busting Lee's chops until things begin unfold over the next 30 or so days with a completion of his staff and our 2009 recruiting.

Actually, NSU's coach had been a coach at some d-2, I think Bloomsburg or somewhere in Pennsylvania.

Well like Dooms he maybe a successful HC here at A&T. I was just questioning the Hiring process and settling for Average. But lets move on. It is what it is.
I'm done talking about it.
Thrilla when is the official Announcement going to come out and are you going to have a video for those that cannot make it.
Does Alonzo Lee know the local area well enough to recruit?

C'mon trues, he was here for three years and he still recruits the area for Morgan. Of course he does. I'm assuming that's one thing that made him a more attractive candidate.

When they were here before didn't Lee recruit the Triad (where Rags is strong), Chenis had the Fayetteville area, and Oliver had Charlotte and the Hampton, Va & DC area. Lee will not be able to go out as before, therefore he better hire someone familiar w/ NC if he wants to control NC in 1-AA or whatever the new name is.

There's really no way to control NC. There's 30 football playing schools in this state (or more). If anything I'm hoping he can hit DC strong. Unless I'm wrong (wouldn't be the first time) DC counts as an in-state scholly.
So what areas does Lee recruit for Morgan?

Morgan State had a qb and rb from Greensboro/High Point, so somebody know a little about the area.

Control was a bad choice of words. I really meant to say we need more NC recruits and a better relationship w/ the high schools in our state. The last few years have not been good to NCA&T in that regard.

Thatis why staffing will be important but Lee, Ragsdale, Berry and and yes even Oliver know the territory around here fairly well after being here three years ago and still was recruiting the Triad after going to Morgan.

I think Ragsdale might be on the hot seat now that Wheeler has been let go.
It was Wheeler who insisted that Lee hire Ragsdale in the first place.

Quite unfortunate because he appeared to be an outsider on this staff. Wonder how much imput he was allowed to give?
