Now the question is what will Lee's staff look like:
HC - Lee
Asst. Head Coach & RB coach - George Ragsdale
Defensive Coordinator - ?
Offensive Coordinator - I pray that it's not Chennis Berry
OL coach - I pray that its not Chennis Berry
QB coach - Hell, why not Marshall Glen?
WR coach - Doug Brown. He has just as much experience as Mack Vincent had when he got the job.
LB Coach - ?
DB Coach - I pray that it's not Travis Oliver but I also prayed that Wheels would not hire Lee so I think that maybe God has my number blocked.
Special Teams coach - whatever coach draws the shortest straw in the first staff meeting

At least the poster formally known as wart should be happy. His best friend is now only a heartbeat away from being the head football coach at A&T.

Nope, makes too much sense and the fans would absolutely love it.
Those are two things A&T will have no part of.

Kip Shaw or Rich McGeorge would be excellent choices as offensive coordinator..

Lee needs to take the Obama approach and go with proven adversaries who are stronger than he is in certain areas.
Maynor should be seriously considered and would be one hell of choice since there's no AFL now and Fayetteville ain't breaking any bank records for assistant salaries, as would Tom Knotts, or Steve Davis as the offensive coordinator.
I really would love to have McGeorge as the 0-Line coach. His units have been fabulous at both NCCU and Shaw. That's four championship rings and a ton of experience in developing quality linemen right there.
Moves like that to build a solid staff would just about erase any reservations that most any reasonable skeptic could have.
But we know that coaches are creatures of habit so its probably wouldn't surprise me to see Darryl McNeil come back here as the OC because Lee has a long relationship with him.

Honestly I would be in the cardiac unit at Moses Cone tomorrow if any of that happened.
I really think McNeil is coming back here instead of Berry as OC. It would be the smarter move for him if he is as predictable as most coaches. He's not going to take risks now.
But who knows for sure. It's a totally different situation when you get to call the shots. Lee has waited a long time for this head coaching job. I am pretty confident that he won't be stupid and start looking at young untested JUCO or NAIA assistant coaches like his predecessor. Not in this league.
We'll just have to wait and see what and who he picks.

I don't know how happy Lee was with Brick's unit during their previous tenure. While Brick is available, I don't think he'd head back this way.
The one thing that worries me about Connell is no college coordinating experience. It wouldn't bother me but we have a first-time head guy. Pairing him with a guy that likes to pass and is used to calling plays on a 50 yard indoor field with a guy running towards the line of scrimmage before the snap... not really a good idea in my opinion. I'd rather see a guy that's been a head man and has offensive line coaching history in the o.c. spot. Of course, it's ultimately up to Coach Lee and he has so many contacts there's no telling who we could get. I wouldn't be surprised if Coach Berry came along for the ride.
I'd be in the cardiac unit with you if we got McGeorge. In a good way.

Former A&T offensive coordinator and recently fired JCSU head coach Darryl "Brick" McNeil.

So mcneil would be a bad choice?? Who is mcgeorge?? an who do you think would be the best oline coach that would CONSIDER a&t an who could we AFFORD that would produce a more violent offensive line??

If we hired McGeorge that would probably be the best personnel decision this school has made in the last 6 years. He would instantly bring more experience and credentials than any other person on Lee's entire staff.
