oh, okay. maxpreps lists her as a small forward (sf), power forward (pf) @ 5'11". she'll probably play small forward for us. man, either she's a beast on the boards or she plays in a league with a bunch of midgets. since she's not really very tall, she must be a very aggressive rebounder. 9.2 rebounds per game is a lot for high school. most college players don't average that many rebounds even though they play 40 minute games in college as opposed to 32 minute games in high school...

just to give you some perspective on how dominant 9.2 rebounds per game is, our women's leading rebouder last year was lamona smalley at 7 rebounds per game. coleman led the men in rebounding last year with 6.3 rebounds per game. and remember, college games are 40 minutes long and high school games are 32 minutes long...

I hear she has exceptional leaping ability. Like "grab the rim with both hands" leaping ability.

its also possible that she may have long arms. i say that because she also averages 3.6 steals per game which is also an awful lot of steals for high school. if she had averaged 3.6 steals per game in division 1 college basketball last year, she would have led the entire nation in steals amongst all men and 2nd in the nation amongst all women.
looks like we've got ourselves a very complete player. if you only look at her points per game average, you would probably underestimate her value to a team. her rebounds and steals are outstanding! not good, but "outstanding"...

AGGIES RELEASE 2009 WOMEN’S BASKETBALL SIGNEES Aggies sign two all-state players from North Carolina
GREENSBORO, December 10, 2009 – Athleticism and a team coached by Patricia Cage-Bibbs can be a lethal combination. But that’s the exact combination opponents will have to deal with for years to come after Bibbs, the fifth-year head women’s basketball coach at North Carolina A&T, signed four athletic and versatile players to letters of intent during the signing period.
One of the most athletic is 5-foot-11 Tiffanie Adair. Adair is from Lyman, S.C., where she plays high school basketball at Byrnes for head coach Layne Fowler. Adair is also an outstanding volleyball player and track and field athlete. She has earned all-state honors in volleyball and girls basketball. In track and field, she owns the school record in the high jump with a leap of 5 feet, 8 inches. As a junior on the basketball court, she averaged 17.9 points, 9.5 rebounds per game while leading Byrnes to a 16-10 record and a playoff appearance.
“I want people to understand that I am not calling her the next Amber Bland,’’ said Bibbs about the comparison between Adair and three-time first-team standout Bland. “She will have to earn her own legacy. But her build and her athleticism puts you in the mind of an Amber Bland. She has a tremendous vertical and she goes up strong with the basketball around the basket.”
Bibbs’ other out-of-state recruit is Tampa, Fla., native DeAndra Davis. Davis, a 6-foot forward, was a Times Hillsborough County newspaper first-team selection. She averaged 13.4 points, 9.2 rebounds and 3.6 steals per game for Spoto High School as a junior. Her performances led the Hawks to a 21-5 record. Among the schools she turned down to become an Aggie were Florida State, Baylor, Western Kentucky, Virginia Commonwealth, Central Florida and North Florida.
“She is a fingernail away from dunking the basketball,” said Bibbs. “She can really get off the floor, but the first thing I noticed about her is that she plays the type of in-your face defense I like to see played. I think she is going to be a great defender for the Lady Aggies.”
Bibbs also inked two in-state talents. LaCherish Reed is a 5-foot-8 guard from Charlotte. During her junior season, Reed averaged 16.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 4.6 steals. She led Hickory Grove High School to a 30-1 record and a North Carolina Independent Schools 3A state championship. Reed also made all-state.
“She can score the basketball any way you want her to,’’ said Bibbs. “She will probably play at the off-guard position for us. But if a need arises, she can also play the point. She has great shot off the dribble, and she has outstanding court vision.”
The Aggies other all-state performer from the state of North Carolina is 5-foot-7 point guard Alishia Mosley out of Vass. Mosley has led the Union Pines Vikings in scoring the past two seasons. As a junior, she averaged 18.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 3.7 steals while knocking down close to three 3-pointers per game. Mosley has a reputation for being a clutch shooter. She hit three game-winning 3-pointers as a junior. On two separate occasions last season, she hit a deep trey to send games into overtime.
Miami Heat guard Mario Chalmers, the 2008 MOP for the University of Kansas’ national championship team, is Mosley’s first cousin.
“It’s obviously in the blood because this young lady likes the ball in her hand with the game on the line,’’ said Bibbs. “She can knock down outside shots in bunches, but the thing that sticks out about her is how smart of a player she is. She is a true student of the game.”
With the loss of five seniors after the 2009-10 season, Bibbs is excited about signing a class that can do multiple things on the floor.
“The thing I love about this class is that we can play all four at a variety of positions on the court,’’ said Bibbs. “We really feel good about being able to sign two of the best players in the state of North Carolina. In recruiting, you always want to make sure you’re taking care of home.”

I always think these statements are funny especially if the famous relative had limited to no personal connection to the non-famous relative. I am a relative of Fredrick Douglas, so, can I set the Aggies' athletic department free from incompetence out of Dowdy Building

Oldeschool. where are you on this one? I haven't heard much from you. I think it's because you know how it goes down with ladies recruiting (b/c of your daughter). But I'm wanting to see if you're willing to throw yourself behind Davis like Thrilla is. lol I don't want to sway your opinion but here's a couple of things to consider.......
1) She supposedly had a chance to go to a super power like Baylor (I've confirmed that she didn't even get an official visit by the way) and a NCAA tourney team in Florida State however.................she's a 5'8-5'9" post player that isn't nationally ranked like Sams was.
2) Supposedly, a super power in Baylor aggressively recruited her and wanted her super bad, but UGA, LSU, Auburn, Texas, Tennesee, UNC, Clemson, South Carolina, Georgia Tech and the list goes on didn't lift their finger.
She might be a quality player in the MEAC in about 2-3 years, but it's some obvious red flags here. Most high level recruiters go after AND SIGN players that can contribute right away like.......BTJ, Bland, Mona, Tweet, Sams, Berry, Amber Calvin, and Gorham.
What's your take oldeschool? It's sure to be interesting.

Wow, so much hate for a girl recruited to your alma mater. I wonder if you would be more supportive of her if she had signed to VCU.
