BTW: You just claimed that the above article mirrored what you said on this site a month go? Why are you getting so defensive when it comes to DeAndra Davis?
Do you agree with the article or don't you? Make up your mind. LOL

Wow, so much hate for a girl recruited to your alma mater. I wonder if you would be more supportive of her if she had signed to VCU. Hate? lol, Stop it, you're killing me. ;D ;D ;D How do you hate somebody you don't know? I didn't even say anything about her game. I just stated some obvious facts. I see what you're trying to do though. lol It doesn't work man. You're just playing yourself.

Bibbs should be proud of you. lol

It's sad, man. The young lady hasn't stepped one foot on this campus and you're already praying that she's a bust.
Why? Because Bibbs recruited her? Because she turned down VCU and Robie Pride? Because the folks in Dowdy made you stand in line for 6 hours just to get your refund check?
Why would you even have a desire to downgrade a A&T recruit? Why, why, why? LOL

Oldeschool. where are you on this one? I haven't heard much from you. I think it's because you know how it goes down with ladies recruiting (b/c of your daughter). But I'm wanting to see if you're willing to throw yourself behind Davis like Thrilla is. lol I don't want to sway your opinion but here's a couple of things to consider....... 1) She supposedly had a chance to go to a super power like Baylor (I've confirmed that she didn't even get an official visit by the way) and a NCAA tourney team in Florida State however.................she's a 5'8-5'9" post player that isn't nationally ranked like Sams was. 2) Supposedly, a super power in Baylor aggressively recruited her and wanted her super bad, but UGA, LSU, Auburn, Texas, Tennesee, UNC, Clemson, South Carolina, Georgia Tech and the list goes on didn't lift their finger. She might be a quality player in the MEAC in about 2-3 years, but it's some obvious red flags here. Most high level recruiters go after AND SIGN players that can contribute right away like.......BTJ, Bland, Mona, Tweet, Sams, Berry, Amber Calvin, and Gorham. What's your take oldeschool? It's sure to be interesting. Oldeschool, I love you silence on this! It says it all!!! ;D

i've been silent because i haven't been online all weekend. and i've also come to realize that your debates aren't based on rational thinking, so its useless to go back and forth with you.
but regarding deandra davis, the young lady is a bonafide stud. how do i know? because i've seen her video highlights. and unless you've seen her play, any other comments about her is mere speculation.
the kid has a "scottie pippen" like game. she's very unselfish, very athletic, very aggressive, she can score, she's an "outstanding" defender and rebounder, a very good passer, and clearly is a student of the game (probably because her mom's a coach). i can see her out front on bibbs' press from day 1. matter of fact, this young lady is my kinda player. i'd love to have 5 of 'em in my starting lineup because she's a "complete" ball player. she does just about everything well. her ppg average doesn't illustrate how valuable she is. she's the kind of player that you win championships with because she does all the little things.
she's the high school recruit that i most look forward to seeing play next year. she may have to get a little stronger physically at the d1 level. but in my eyes, she's a "can't miss" type player...

I've said that she I haven't seen the tape of her and that's why you haven't heard me make mention of here skill set or lack thereof. I was moreso referring to that newspaper article that Thrilla acted like he edited himself. I am wanting to see what you thought about that supposed list of schools actively recruiting her. And a couple of more things based on your last post....... When you say "can't miss", do you mean by MEAC standards or by any D1 school? Keep in mind that she's a 5'8" post. And are you basing this on that highlight tape that everybody keeps talking about? I've asked where that tape was on 2 separate occasions and no one can seem to point me in the right direction. And are you making those kind of statements based on a highlight tape or actual game film. Let me put it another way......did the tape you watched show ANYTHING that she has to work on? You made a lot of strong statements in the last post and I'm just wondering if we have another Amber Bland coming in here. I can't wait to hear from you.

You made a lot of strong statements in the last post and I'm just wondering if we have another Amber Bland coming in here. I can't wait to hear from you. i consider her a can't miss in the meac. now i don't mean she's gonna come in and average double digits as a freshman. what i mean by can't miss is that she'll probably get a lot of minutes as a freshman because of all the things she does on the floor. she "is not" a post player. at least she doesn't play like a post and she's not built like a post. she plays like a guard. she handles and passes like a guard. on her video, she completed a couple of "no look" passes to teammates for scores. c'mon, bigboy! do you really expect to see a kid's weaknesses on a highlight video? its a "highlight" video, man! and no, she's not an amber bland "type" player. i won't try to label her, except from what i could see, she has a "scottie pippen" like game. just a complete player that can do it all. she "aggressively" attacks the basket and has very good elevation for a girl. defensively, she's all over the place! ya can't put the ball in front her, 'cause she'll strip you. just take a look at her steals average. to me, she's the kind of player that you assign to your opponent's best scorer. and i could tell that she "loves" playing defense. ya can't teach that! her basketball iq is very evident when you watch the decisions she makes on the court. i just think she's a difference maker. now i'm a little bias because i favor players who play on both ends of the court. and i particularly favor players who have a "passion" for playing defense...

I know that you like her a lot. I just have 2 questions.
1. Where's the footage? And by the way, I honestly didn't know if it was a highlight tape or game film you were referring to.
2. What's your take on that list of schools that was said to recruiting her, including Baylor and Florida State?

i honestly don't remember where i saw the video, but i definitely saw it. someone posted a video link of her somewhere but i can't remember if it was on bdv, the old meacfans, or the new meacfanszone message board. but i distinctly remember seeing it and saying to myself, she's my kinda player.
unless you pay attention to the little things as i do such as defense, rebounding, assists, decision making, etc., a lot of what she does on the floor would go unnoticed. but all college coaches have a trained eye for the little things because they understand how important they are. so for the casual observer, all they see is her 13 ppg average, but what they don't see is her nearly 10 rpg and 4 spg.
that's why i say this is the kind of kid that you win championships with! she has the total package. i sensed that if she really wanted to, she could easily average more than 13 ppg. but like i said, she appeared to be a very unselfish player and also bare in mind that those are her junior year stats.
as you probably know, all players are "self-motivated" to score the basketball. but the mass majority of them are not "self-motivated" to play defense and rebound. in fact, i've found that the mass majority of players (men or women) at any level, don't like to play defense at all. so when you find one that loves to play "D" that can also do everything else, he/she becomes a very valuable commodity. 5'8" is adequate size for a "major d1" guard, so i definitely can understand why major d1's may have taken an interest in her...
