The one constant that remains in this equation is the Daughter of Man. It's her program, her system, her recruiting strategy.
Robinson did his job and performed well, but now that he is gone the system that Bibbs created continues to roll. Just like it did at Grambling and Hampton.

bibbs has always recruited well regardless of where she coached. to imply that she's reliable on any of her assistants to land recruits is a misguided notion at best...

Look, it's inarguable. Everybody knows that Bibbs has always hired really, really good assistant coaches. And in the case of Robinson, he was able to bring in championship talent, major D-1 talent, I mean......undefeated in the conference talent. So this is not about attacking Bibbs.
It's about Robinson being gone. The program has enough talent to win again this year and attract more kids. So all I was suggesting is that a fellow aggie that's doing well doesn't need any sarcasm surrounding his name. The people of power know his worth and Bibbs does too. I'm just suggesting we let the man move on and focus on Bibbs the Great and Murray this year.

At first you wanted everyone here to mourn because Robinson got the VCU job. You were the one who first reported he was leaving, you posted a couple of news articles about his departure, and you said we were not giving him the credit he deserved.
Now you don't want anyone to even mention his name?
I don't get it.

For someone who claims to be the smartest guy in the world, you sure are acting clueless now. lol
You understand clearly what I'm saying. Nothing I said or posted about him had any hint of sarcasm or whatever. Talking about how good he was when he was here and sarcastically mentioning that a top recruit signed without him being here are 2 different things. We know that Bibbs and Murray single handedly without any help from anyone signed this kid. I mean, I'm willing to bet that Bibbs the Great has seen this kid play at least 35 times over the last 2 years because she's a relentless recruiter that hardly sleeps.
But that has nothing to do with Robinson and unless it's good things, I don't even understand why he has to be mentioned. That's all.

You sound like you are more of a fan of Robinson than you are of the Lady Aggie basketball program.
Based on your previous statements on this board, you made it seem like the entire program would fall apart once Robinson left. As one of the 5 smartest people on this planet, I never believed that.
You might need to spend more time studying the principles of management and the concepts of delegating responsibility.
Ask someone like Bill Belichick how he's able to cope when he loses a top coordinator every other year.

Maybe that's where I'm different. I'm not a fan(atic) over anything but my kids so I can look at things with a rational eye and call it like I see it. I'm not in anybody's corner.
And I didn't make it seem like anything. I simply stated that Robinson was probably the best hire that she ever had. She won more with him by her side than anybody else!!! And yes, I've also said before that her greatest talent is hiring great people and there is nothing wrong with that.
So I don't need to ask Belicheck nothing. The New England fanbase is smart enough to know how good his assistants are and that is why dumb/sarcastic comments aren't made in connection with them when they leave. When they're gone, they're gone and everybody wishes them the best.

I also don't think fans made dumb/sarcastic comments about Bill Belicheck or his system whenever any of his assistant coaches left either.

hometeam.tampabay.com/recruiting/2009/oct/20/spotos-deandra-davis-commits-nc-t/Spoto's DeAndra Davis commits to NC A&TPosted on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. Spoto senior DeAndra Davis, one of the top girls basketball players in Hillsborough County, has committed to North Carolina A&T. Davis transferred to Spoto from Armwood this year, following her mother, new Spoto girls basketball coach Mareka Davis, who was hired over the summer. DeAndra Davis was a Times Hillsborough County first-team selection last season, averaging 13.4 points, 9.2 rebounds and 3.6 steals a game for a Hawks team that went 21-5 last season.“DeAndra is a senior now and there are times when players reach a certain level in high school where there’s not a whole lot more than let her than let her play,” Mareka Davis said. “I think she’s at that point.” She committed to NC A&T last month. She was being recruited about 22 schools, including Virginia Commonweath, North Florida, UCF, Western Kentucky, Baylor and Florida State. She will sign her letter of intent next month. Mareka Davis is well-known in the local girls basketball community. She is co-owner of the Florida Eagles girls basketball club, where she coached several Tampa youth basketball players. Spoto went 5-13 last season, but along with DeAndra Davis, return power forward Brianna Thomas, the team’s top returning scorer, and will also have 6-foot-1 center Jordan Pate to make a promising frontline. “You look over there and there’s a lot of hidden talent no one knew about,” Mareka Davis said. “This year we hope to bring it out.” -- EDUARDO A. No, we already have the center from Oregon State here. She was at the midnight madness event last week but she will have to sit out this season.

ENCINA, Times staff writer eencina@sptimes.com it doesn't say how tall she is but i've got to believe she's a post player because she averaged dayum near 10 rebounds per game. that's a lot of rebounds for high school play. plus, baylor is one of the top women's programs in the country and florida state is the defending acc champions from last year. if those two schools were seriously recruiting her, she must be the real deal...
