We need to start promoting this game now. Hopefully, the school will run some promos during the homecoming game. This is a 7 pm game and it would be great to see at least 5,000 turn out.

Why do we seem to always be behind in this department? Is it the marketing budget or what (Truthseeker, please do not respond! lol). How often do you see a team like Auburn go into an HBCU with the environment like ours? We need to take advantage of this.
There is nothing on campus. Is there a pep rally planned? Radio Promos? Email blasts? Twitter? Facebook?
I mean, all you die hard financial supporters, where is the return on investment? This is retarded.

i'd be surprised if we draw more than 1,500 fans. auburn will probably bring a hundred or so fans. i just don't think the average local fan realizes that auburn was a top 5 ranked team last year. and the auburn name just isn't a draw like tennessee or uconn. only fans who faithfully follow the lady aggies and women's basketball in general will be pumped for this game. but to the casual fan, i don't think they will appreciate how special this game is.
even if the game is well promoted, i doubt if more than 1,000 to 1,500 fans will show up. i think the "max" we'll possibly draw is about 2,000 (which is good for a women's game). hail, other than wssu, even the men never drew 5,000 fans at home last year...

but i will say this, if the lady aggies somehow wins this game, recruiting will be "off the hook"! i mean, with the 6'4" kid being eligible next year, i sure that and a win over auburn would attract a major "stud-ette" or two for bibbs' program...

I agree oldeschool, but d@mn, it's time for somebody to earn a freakin' pay check in that marketing dept. Let's put @sses in the seats. Invite every high school girls team in the triad. Give me a step show at half time and get blue reign outta here. Let a 102 Jamz DJ host something before or after so that you can tap his/her twitter followers. Give me 1.5 weeks and I'll get you at least 3-4k oldeschool. People may not know about Auburn now, but they would after a strong marketing push. It's not that hard. This is just an example of old, traditional thinking.........burying a prime opportunity.

Heck, we should have been pumping this at all the home games we've played. What good is that million dollar jumbotron if we aren't going to use it as a marketing tool? The key is to get at least 3,500 - 5,000 students at the game which is very possible. Bornthrilla, we need you to give these folks some ideas!

those are good ideas along with the jumbotron idea. And they are basically free. Well who's on campus enough to harass the marketing group? Theres got to be a way to pressure them into action!

They all read this site everyday, so all you need to do is harass them here. LOL
How do you think we finally got Midnight Madness to happen?

bigboy's idea to invite every high school girls team in the triad is an excellent idea! why? because most of them follow division 1 women's basketball and they already know who all the top teams are, including auburn. i'm sure there will be plenty of empty seats available, so why not give them to folks who will probably come and not only that, they'll probably bring family and friends along too. not to mention it's a great way to get a foot in the door of our local recruits.
and for the same reasons, we may want to add the major aau organizations too. with the right promotions and ticket giveaways, we could probably get several thousand in attendance for that game...
