I think by the time Coach Walthaw gets done working with her, she will be dunking the ball in real games.
She is a sportscenter highlight waiting to happen.

Damn, I just got goose bumps watching this highlight video. I guess Coach Bibbs does know a thing or two about recruiting. dayum! how does she do it? she signs stud-ette after stud-ette! man, i thought since she had retired from coaching after leaving hampton, she'd be looking to retire again after maybe 3 or 4 years. but she's not showing any signs of slowing down! with our current roster plus the prospects she's got coming in, her best years are ahead of her! man, i'm so glad we re-signed coach bibbs...

I read somewhere that she just hires great assistants and they do all the work.

I read somewhere that she just hires great assistants and they do all the work. yeah, i recall someone saying that too but i won't go there. however, i tend to agree with you that we probably haven't even seen all of the big names yet, though what she's signed already is plenty. since she's currently got 5 seniors on the roster, i've got to believe she'll sign at least 2 more recruits. i'm bracing myself for at least 2 more outstanding stud-ettes. hail, i'm so excited i "almost" wish i could fast forward to the start of next season! can't wait to see the big transfer from osu on a bibbs coached team. we already have a very tough schedule this year, but i can imagine there will be several more big name opponents on our schedule next year...

Davis is very athletic. She has a male-type game with her quickness and jumping ability. I like her jump shot. She needs to work on her layups to get it higher on the square.
This is a very good pickup. I wonder how well she played this summer in AAU national tournaments.

She officially committed to A&T. This is great. I've always dreamed of A&T getting the top basketball players and getting to the final four in March Madness but I dreamed it was the men's b'ball team. However, it looks like the women are going to beat them to it. Regarding Coach Bibbs' recruiting skills; have you ever talked with her? She is something else; she makes you feel right at home as if she's been knowing you all her life. Before know it, you'll be asking her 'where is the family reunion this year so you can attend'. Add her winning record to that and you are ready to sign.

On the bright side, she did have VCU listed as one of her final choices so maybe if things don't quite work out at A&T she might transfer up there later.

I honestly think you got something personal going. I might need to fall back. You can't leave the guy alone. That last statement you just made was rough.

This Mitchell is no scrub we signed off the end of someone's bench. www.osubeavers.com/sports/w-baskbl/spec-rel/122208aaa.htmlOregon State's Mitchell Named Pac-10 Player of the Week Alex Mitchell leads the Pac-10 in shooting percentage. Dec. 22, 2008 WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Oregon State sophomore center Alex Mitchell was named Pac-10 Player of the Week for Dec. 15-21, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today. In OSU's victory over UNLV, Mitchell shot 10-14 from the field, recording a career-high 23 points. In the Beaver's next two games, Mitchell had two more double-digit scoring outings, extending her streak to five in a row. After seeing and meeting the girls team up close last night at Wal-Mart, Coach Bibbs has one of the tallest and most physical teams I've seen in this league in a very long time in women's basketball. They are giants.
Amber Calvin may look like she is about 12 years old but she can flat play. A very nice, intelligent, and well mannered young lady.

I watched Amber play at the Allstar game, she's ready, and should get plenty PT this year( she's a Floor General) I'd like to rename her MINT because she's so cool and refreshing
