A&T has changed the date for the SCSU game in Corbett. The game has been changed from Feb. 20 to Feb. 17 to make it possible for SCSU to play in a BracketBuster game on ESPNU on Feb. 20. A&T is doing this to help a follow MEAC school to participate in this game. The women's game will remain on Feb. 20. Game time for the women will be at 4pm rather than 2pm.

Coppin has a lawsuit against Fangs? truthseeker What is your source that Coppin has a lawsuit against Fangs? There is a reason I abosolutely NEVER reply to truthseeker. He consistently lies to try to sound smart. I know Jack. And what he's saying about the percentage of money games is absolute bullsh#t. And watch his bogus excuse when you ask for sources. Decks did that before about his bogus budget numbers and we've yet to get an answer. It's ironic that his name is "truthseeker".

Oldeschool,
I don't necessarily disagree with you about UNC, but there is one problem.......WE AINT UNC!
Teams on our level not only play money games for the actual money, but those bigger schools actually "teach" us how to play. They teach us the level of intensity it takes to win. They teach us how to run our offenses and defenses against higher level competition so that when we enter conference play, it comes easier and more natural. That's why Fang, traditionally Jackson, and Bozeman's teams not only win, but they ususally go on long streaks when they are winning. UNC is on an entirely different level. We can't compare our motivations and intentions to what they do. In the grand scheme of things, it's only 3 games and really not that big of a deal, but I just have a problem with our pattern of not doing what the winners in our conference do.
Bozeman and Evans have come in and done what the traditional winners in the MEAC have always done and guess what?..........within 2 years, they are winning. This is while we're running and gunning, turning the ball over, playing too many people and scheduling cupcakes. But hey, Eaves did get the super duper prestigious NAB.S. Coach of the Year honors, so no one should question him right?

personally, i don't have a problem with eaves scheduling cupcakes. he's got to strike a balance between having about 10 virtually guaranteed money making azz whuppings on the schedule versus 3 cupcakes. the only problem i have with the cupcakes we schedule is that no one have ever heard of them. i mean, who's ever heard of davis & elkins college? what's wrong with trying schedule greensboro college or guildford college? at least our fans are familiar with those schools and who knows, those schools may even bring a few fans with them. and regarding aahhbigboy's point, eaves "only" has 3 cupcakes on the schedule. just 3! so how in the hail is that a "losing strategy"? unc plays several cupcakes "every year" and they're the defending national champs! so i guess roy williams has a losing strategy too? this year unc plays nccu, florida international, belmont abbey, garner-webb, presbyterian, college of charleston, and albany college. that's "7" cupcakes on their schedule! eaves only has 3. yep, i guess that unc scheduling model is a losing strategy alright. so aahhbigboy, could you please explain how in the hail is scheduling 3 cupcakes a "losing strategy"? C'mon Oldeschool. I know you to be smarter than this. Comparing our bball situation is like comparing your bank account to Oprah's. Oprah can do things everyday that we can only dream about and still be OK. If we try to mimic her spending, we'll be sleeping under a bridge. Get it? ACC schools are in a different world. Their scheduling has to do with favors, special handshakes by trustess, etc. I mean, UNC traditionally would play in the hometown of one of their star freshman recruits! That is why I, logically, compared our scheduling to the big boy teams in our league. It's one simple sentence that summarizes it all......... We don't do what the winners in our conference do, and that is probably why we haven't won in the last 7-9 years. no one has owned the meac... there have been diffrent tournament champions the last 5yrs... so outside of oleschool bringing unc into the mix... what winners are you talking about... ?

Coppin has a lawsuit against Fangs? truthseeker What is your source that Coppin has a lawsuit against Fangs? that was last season... don't know if it has been settled or not... there appears to be some envy with the big brass at coppin against fang... i don't think it sits too well with the president that the bball coach makes more than he... but like i said... fang gets to keep a % of the guaranteed money towards his salary... as does jackson...

eaves was on the aggie sports report thursday... he said a contract has been signed with unc-w... home & home... they will come here next season... & it looks like we will play unc-g in the coliseum next season... a one yr. deal... no return date as of yet... if i were a guessing man... & i am... i would say we will not be compensated for the unc-g gm... which is fine if they are coming to corbett the following yr... because for us to make any money playing in the coliseum... the crowd would have to be 15-20k... so my next question is... why are we playing unc-g for free... ?... mens bball is your product... you have to treat it like a business... you do not give your product away for free... if you give your product away for free... you devalue your product... why should advertisers invest in your product when you are giving it away... if it has no value to you... then why should it be of any value to a company you are trying sell advertisement to... whoever the "suit" in dowdy who decided to play unc-g for free... i say this respect your product... what we have others want... the fan base... the excitement... the atmosphere... outside of an acc school... who has that besides us... no-one... a&t is a gold mind... treat it as such...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I see know problem with playing UNCG for free at the coliseum. Who ever wins the game makes a statement to G'boro about being the best Div I team in G'boro. In addition maybe this helps open the door for a Thanksgiving or Christmas classic in G'boro with A&T, UNCG, and two other PWC schools. Maybe one ACC team and another Div 1 team.

In addition maybe this helps open the door for a Thanksgiving or Christmas classic in G'boro with A&T, UNCG, and two other PWC schools. Maybe one ACC team and another Div 1 team. When it comes to racial identity the facts doesn't matter. A&T has proved more than once who was the better team in Greensboro. The last time was in the early-to-mid 1990's. This is a lose-lose situation. This game proved the UNCG has more juice than A&T. A&T can't make UNCG come to Corbett but UNCG will use their political muscle to make Dr. Martin cry uncle and force A&T into the Greensboro Coliseum so UNCG and the Coliseum can have a nice payday from the Aggies' pocketbook. As for having a holiday tournament with UNCG, remember our Lady Aggies doing the same with UNCG? Well, that ended and you know why? The Holiday Tournament would have a banquet every year during the tournament and all teams were invited to the dinner but....you guessed it, A&T. In fact, A&T didn't know about these banquet until it was slipped out by an opponent wondering why A&T wasn't present. A&T questioned UNCG about this and suffice to say their answer was lame and a dignified lady said "No mas". So go and give UNCG your money and have them snicker at you as being less than them. In truth we know we are not.

Jazz,
Your facts have changed my position. I thought it was a no money proposition for both schools; since UNCG can not cover the coliseum rental fee. On average whats UNCG's attendance like for b-ball ?
