blue reign vs. golden delight would be very interesting and fun to watch. it wouldn't be hard to judge either. though blue reign is more hip hop and golden more jazz-like (i won't embarass them by refering to them as true jazz dancers). they could all have their different themes and plots to their dancing.
but on another note. ppl talk alot of smack about blue reign. ppl say they aren't good and they're tryna be golden and blase blase. but really they have become a good dance team. obviously they aren't studio trained (atleast not all of them) but they have real talent. with ppl bashing on them i think its more than when u box urself in by saying u're a hip-hop dance team (and nothing more) how many variations of 3 min. dances can u do? ofcourse they're going to all start looking alike. but these ladies work hard and to me they are a good dance team. they're no where near southern univ. gold'nbluez or howard's bisonettes but they've come a long way. maybe one day they'll open their eyes to dance other than hip hop and take a look at modern, lyrical, and jazz to add some extra to their routines. with golden delight i feel they've been put on this pedastal (by some) as being this and that. they're okay. sweet hearts of the meac though? negative. the meac has so many better dance teams that it should be against the law to call golden delight the meac sweethearts. they could be if they'd slow down their solo peices. how can ur movements ever be precise if you're goin in quadruple time? if they slowed it down then they would be a force. b/c their moves are creative and they have a talented team as well. they should be given major kudos b/c they twirl AND dance. so they've got to practice twice as hard as every other team. but with that fact come the responsibilty of actually being somewhat good in both areas. some of their girls are really good but they can't make up for the whole squad of so-so's. like the senior girls and the captains are all fierce in their moves.
if both of these teams went head to head. whoo-wee. can u say fierce? take it from someone who danced their whole life both in-studio and out, these teams would defn. bring it.

dancin4kix: what is the problem with those in charge by not wanting both dance teams to perform at the bball games... &... not inviting dance teams .. cheerleaders.. etc.. from other schools to provide some half-time entertainment... .... your opinion... & while you're at it... do you think that these type of performances would greatly boost attendence at the ladies game...

I think it's more a matter of territory. Basketball season "belongs" to blue reign and football season belongs to golden. They don't want anymore beef than there already seems to be between the two teams. If they just started letting Golden Delight dance at bball games as well as football games, would they let Blue Reign do the same. Plus, I don't even think either teams want that. Maybe one or two really hype and anticipated games but not all. The thing with dance teams being invited from other schools is that during basketball season most (HBCU atleast) dance teams don't travel. They don't really have the funding to do so b/c most of their money comes from their own hardwork and fundraising. They all would like to travel it's just not feasible for them to do so. Esp. if you're talkin MEAC teams b/c they're all spread out. In my opinion, it probably wouldnt boost women's game attendance. People just overly prefer men's sports. Point blank. Even in the dance arena when you go to a competition or have a show when guys dance it's more "wow" and "oohs and ahhs" than for girls. sad, but true.

Can we get Blue Reign to steal this routine, move for move? www.sceneinteractive.com/talents/luam/(click play) BTW, I would have to dump Gabrielle Union for this chick if I ever met her in person....I like her style ;D

Now that Keith is leaving and Dee Todd might be out as well, we need to revisit this idea.
This could be a new milestone in girl on girl conflict.

Based from what I saw at the game tonight, Golden Delight would win in a landslide this year.

If their exam consisted of that halftime performance, they all failed.
