It looks good. I don't deny that. But I'm just wondering out loud why no one else wants this player. What's wrong with asking this question? He's 6'8", averages 19, 9, and 5 blocks and is within 20-30 minutes of Shaw, St. Aug, Central, NC State, UNC, Duke, Durham Tech, Prysbterian (I think) and ECU and no one has offered. I am just curious. Is that wrong? And Coach Price at Dudley is probably #1 active winniest coach in the state............AND HAS NEVER COACHED IN THE EAST/WEST GAME. Eric Hicks had almost 1000 points in a season at Dudley.....and didn't get picked for the east/west game. Doesn't that sound a bit political bruh? You don't know what you're talking about.......again. Shaw mostly recruits Juco kids and Central had a coaching change. Duke, State and UNC very seldom recruit kids in the state 90% of there rosters have kids from out of the state. Plus if this kid did not play AAU ball could be a reason he got over looked You have the nerve to say Durham Tech.LOL!! I am from Durham and that is funny. Honestly we do not know who all has offered this kid except for us and Elon. Elon's new coach came from Davidson and they have some good players that fell under the radar. Stephen Curry for example Just a thought lol, I was just playing with Durham Tech just to prove my point. I was just going on the article as far as who has offered hime.

ahhbigboy, Ok I agree that East West Allstar Games can be political. But there is a fine line between who gets in and who does not. For a state like NC with a high level of basketball - You can make a case every year for some kid who got passed over. The point is maybe there is somebody more deserving but you are not going to see a dud in the East West Allstar Game. It's like having the inside tract on a job interview. You may no some one on the inside but if you can't put a sentence together nobodys reccomendation is going to help you. No Coach is going to politic for a kid that cant ball; because that would make the Coach look bad among his or her peers. kids get passed up all the time and slip through the radar screen. Thomas "Ice" Griffis did not have any offer out of highschool either thats why he was playing in Moore Gym with me. We all know he was a great player with a high basketball IQ and if given the chance he could have probably played anywhere in the state of NC straight out of a Raleigh, NC highschool. On a lighter note aahbigboy not sure if you have kids but if you do. Will you be sending them to Coach Eaves basketball camp ? SMILE Camp......lmao, I mean really...........lmao Did you get a chance to see Hicks play? Just curious. Him and Shavlik Randolph were the 2 best players in the state. And Price has won 2-3 state championships, has made it to the eastern regionals for 10 straight years, and is proabably the most winniest active coach. Who in the heck can you justify coaching over him year after year?

Honestly we do not know who all has offered this kid except for us and Elon. Elon's new coach came from Davidson and they have some good players that fell under the radar. Stephen Curry for example Just a thought Let me chime in on Upchurch. Upchurch is a solid MEAC guy. Standing beside him I would give him about 6'7". Upchurch is aggressive, can score around the hoop, and rebounds like a monster. He is also very athletic. The reason Upchurch didn't get the big time hype is 2 reasons. 1)he didn't play "big time" AAU. I've spoken enough about that. See my Josh Davis comments. 2)he grew up in the same place(wake county) and time(class of 2009) as some of the best players in the country, so he didn't get the hype. In 2007 he would have been a top guy in Wake County. Class of 2009John Wall - undecided(best in country) Josh Davis - NC STate Stan Okoye - VMI Ryan Kelly - Duke Garrius Adams -Miami Earnest Ross - Auburn Tom Tankelewicz - Charleston Southern Matt Wilson - UNCC Div1 talented JuniorsCJ Leslie - NC State(withdrew commit) Top 10 in nation next year. Melvin Tabb - Wake Forest Weston Murphy - ? Bishop Daniels - multiple offers With this much talent in one county it was easy to dismiss Upchurch, thats if you were not paying attention. This was a good pick up for us. That makes 2 of Eaves recruits I like

On the flip side NCCU offered Dijon Mann(6'7"- 6'8"), also of wake county. I would have been pissed if we gave that guy a scholarship. Seen him play about 4-5 times. No footwork, not aggressive, fumbling hands. Dont now what NCCU was thinking on this one. He is a "project", while Upchurch is no where near a project.

Hey monster,
I love that. You see, that's what I've gotta see to get me say, "OK, Eaves might be on to something." You obviously know something about that area. After seeing that, no one should have anything to question about this kid. It's a lot of activity going on around that guy.

oh man, you're sad. no matter what eaves does, you find something wrong with it. you criticize him for recruiting kentucky and now he recruits a north carolina kid who averages nearly 20 ppg and made the east west all star game, and the best you can do is trash the east west all star game? guess who else nobody wanted? sephen curry. he turned out to be an okay player. straight up, aahhbigboy. are you really an aggie? It looks good. I don't deny that. But I'm just wondering out loud why no one else wants this player. What's wrong with asking this question? You don't know what you're talking about.......again. but you don't "know" how many schools are actively recruiting the kid. all you know is what you read from this web site. secondly, most d1 schools have already signed their class for this year. sometimes when a player is a late bloomer, he winds up at a smaller school. cedric maxwell is a perfect example. he made the so called "political" east west all star game and his best offer was from unc charlotte. yet, he became an all american, led his team to the final four, and then earned several nba championship rings! yet, you want to degrade the kid because you don't have "knowledge" of other schools recruiting him and because he made the east west all star game? wow, that says a lot about you to reach conclusions based on "minimum" knowledge of the situation...

yeah, Wake County was stacked this year. The games were amazing to watch. There is still one more kid from Wake County without a home(last I heard) that would be OK in the MEAC. Harrison George. www.trianglehoops.net/newsarchive/144-ksmith

Aggie Monster came on with no emotion and presented great factual data that can be researched and proven to be correct. No emotions, no irrationality, just factual data. And everyone up here has multiple sources of info. As a matter of fact, everything that I said about the kid came from a newspaper article. I know you don't agree with me, but calm down. You're acting "young". lol

The team was already picked when that happened. I remember it like it was yesterday. I wouldn't even have brought it up if that was the case.
