For 7/1/2006-6/30/2007 we reported to the Office of Postsecondary Education that our expenses by team were $175,412 on men’s basketball and $114,949 on women’s.
In comparison, Hampton's reported expenses were $186,228 and $105,048, respectively.

Yall are really dreaming right now. We got one player that can get on a streak and light the nets on fire and yall expecting us to be competitive against Div 1 talent all the time. That is a very high and almost ridiculous expectation. We are undersized, not as quick, and weaker strength wise and yall think we should be more competitive against kats that are clearly more physically gifted? How many guys on our team could even get playing time on any of those squads we loss to?
We've improved but, please. Even with a senior heavy squad I think our record and margin of losses reflect exactly where we should be. Yall are acting like we won the conference with these guys last year. We didn't even make the championship game!
Like said before "Give Eaves and these guys a break".
I watched "Word of God" prep school dismantal 2 public schools in this christmas tournament last week and those guys could have played the perfect game against WOG and still loss. Save your outcrys and finger pointing for conference play. At least it will cary some weight then.

Some of you guys are just a little to accepting of a losing culture. What'as wrong with expecting the team to be competitive in most of their games? Morgan State has been competitive against UCONN, Miami and Maryland. Hampton has been competitive with Maryland, Tulsa, George Mason & VCU. Other than DePaul we really haven't done anything worth mentioning. Even if you disregard the ranked opponents, we're actually losing by larger margins than we did last season. How do you rationalize that?

I'm a realist. We were not that good last year. How can you expect them to jump by leaps and bounds in just one year?
I'm saving my complaints for the MEAC games is all I'm saying. Thats when you can really judge them.

Bibbs works under the same constraints, yet she managed to bring in top recruiting classes and finish above .500 in only her second year. I guess thats what makes her special. bibbs is a seasoned veteran coach with alot of connections & if anyone expects her to compete for a national title ( which she deserves) her budget needs to get bigger without question...!!!! i don't compare the 2 programs because our mens program is asked to bring in revenue that is vitale to the athletic department... this is something the womens program can't do so it's not a burden they have to bare... the only way for the women to generate revenue is for them to make it to the ncaa tournament.... if the men make it to the ncaa tourny.... add that with the money they brought in from guaranteed games... they would turn a profit... this is a fact that our administration doesn't understand..... or doesn't want to understand... for whatever reason....
