Hey Guys, My wife and I recently opened a gym here in Dallas Texas; since September I've been coaching Defensive back here in Dallas Texas. I have a few coaches attempting to set up recruiting pipelines with me. Wanted to know everyone's thoughts on this young man I've coaching now that plays 5A ball in Dallas, Raising SENIOR. 6 ints his Jr year. www.hudl.com/video/3/16116693/63766093664b0b06709dde47

It can work a pipeline would be nice . Having coached in Amarillo , the problem I experienced is getting the kids to level TX especially for FCS programs . My daughter teaches at South Oak Cliff. We assisted a number of athletes from Lancaster Madison Oak Cliff and other programs in Dallas and Denton even up to Wichita Falls and the Permian Basin Lubbock Amarillo area send information to A&T , before Coach Brown. None of them received a reply back, not even a thank you note. Oh let me correct that the one kid received a reply but it was an offer to be a Walk-on 😆 Tai ended up playing at West Texas state and in the NFL for a few seasons he now coaches at Tascosa High School in Amarillo . Go for it .

Coach Poole is the recruiting coordinator for football. Texas has a deep talent pool. They should assign someone to the state.

However, based on the start of this thread, someone is inquiring about talent.

Recruiting maps or not A&T has been Recruiting Texas for sometime , you can look at the Track and Field, Basketball and other sports that are recruited out of Texas. Because you don't see it on paper that doesn't mean that it is not happening. Having worked in recruiting I can tell you that Everybody is Recruiting in Texas. The problem is getting them to leave / go out of state for an FCS program , from a state full of them and surrounded with them 😆

Ho was the last A&T football player from TX?
Out of all the 2024 offers I haven’t seen 1 offered to a player from TX.
A&T football primarily recruits from Georgia up the east coast and down to Florida.

A&T football primarily recruits from Georgia up the east coast and down to Florida. As do most FCS programs . You have know idea how recruiting works do you . Because you the fan doesn't see it that doesn't mean that it's not being done . Also if the talent that your looking for is available in locally ,on the east coast, Georgia and Florida those are the athletes you go after first . Areas that are familiar with your program. That's how it works at the FCS level . Good talent is good talent regardless of the geographical location that they come from . Coach Brown knows what he wants and if he can find it in Texas he will offer, if not he will focus on the areas and talent pools he is familiar with . And right now in my opinion his focus should be on DT's and NT's regardless of what state they come from .

When was the last time we had a player from TX on our team?

Are they on scholarship? I thought about Ford after I asked him the question but my point remains the same. 2 players out of 85 doesn’t scream we recruit that area. However, his statement that every school recruits Texas and A&T recruits Texas is wrong. Volleyball has more players from Texas than the football team😂. If someone said Volleyball recruits TX I would agree.

Yes they were on scholarship Just admit that you are wrong 😆 Name a program at the FCS level that doesn't recruit Texas ( outside of A&T from your perspective) recruiting them is one thing signing the players is another challenge. NDSU had more players from Florida on there team then Texas 4 , 3 on offense and one on defense. SDSU had 2 one defense and one offense, with more Florida players again . If I'm not mistaken A&T recruits heavy in Florida, Georgia and South Carolina they same recruiting pool that the Dakota school recruit from . Just admit you're wrong . Moving on .

Send Coach Poole an email and ask him, if it hasn't been done already.
