Are they on scholarship? I thought about Ford after I asked him the question but my point remains the same. 2 players out of 85 doesn’t scream we recruit that area. However, his statement that every school recruits Texas and A&T recruits Texas is wrong. Volleyball has more players from Texas than the football team😂. If someone said Volleyball recruits TX I would agree. Hence why I said I agree with your point, but you asked who were the last guys & the question was answered

Send Coach Poole and email and ask him, if it hasn't been done already. nmpoole@ncat.edu Caleb Neal looks like a grad assistant. He is from a school right down the street from me. Texas might be too far for A&T to be honest. I haven't seen them on this circuit all summer. A lot of kids are starting to leave the start we should make way.. I have an 8th grade Corner back that runs a 10.9 in the 100 meters and ran a 4.5 hand at Texas Tech. We need someone here... HOLLYCROSS is here for an entire week.

So why should A&T recruit a football player from Texas? Why waste time and money knowing that most of those players don't want leave Texas. New Coach Staff and I can speak for myself. I emailed Coach Brown and his staff about some potential players and he emailed me back and he reach out to them. It's called establishing relationships.

You might want to reconsider That statement. I moved back to NC 2 years ago have not lived in NC in 32 years until moving I lived in N. Texas - Frisco, TX (Dallas) the last 16 years . The T brand is strong in TX as example there are 20 students that will be freshman this year from Dallas, TX area.
That is just students from Dallas area not Houston, San Antonio, etc.
We are a National Brand

I would expect we recruit "everywhere" at some level/way or another.

Not necessarily. Recruiting occurs in lots of different ways...family ties, somebody on the team recommends, alum recommends, etc. As an example, we had a kid come from CA and I understand part of the reason was because he had family in NC. He flamed out but I expect the amount of recruiting wasn't nearly as much as a typical recruiting of kids in, say, NC.

My apologies, I should have stipulated that I was speaking from discussions with previous A&T coaches.

Oddly enough he’s switched to OL, and he’s FBS now. He went JUCO after leaving A&T & committed to SDSU this season. Would’ve never guessed he’d be playing any spot on the OL though

Before I got here, I would have thought the same thing. So I will respectfully have to disagree with this statement that kids don't want to leave because times have changed.. KIDS ARE LEAVING TEXAS, and a lot of schools are finding this out. Look at the School that came for SMU's Mega Camp. Hollycross in Mass has 7 players from Texas. Dartmouth Has 10. I know the Hollycross coach. In the two weeks he's in Texas he see more talent up close than any other State!
