We need defensive linemen IMO it would be unwise for us not to recruit Texas, One of our Coaches' has experience recruiting Texas. personally, i don't believe texas should be high on our recruiting areas. i can see recruiting texas "remotely" via video and social media, but that's about it. "florida" has just as many top recruits as texas and probably "more" than texas. we already recruit florida, there's no need to emphasize texas too cuz texas is much further away than florida. i think our coaches already are recruiting the regions of the country that's most productive "for us". i believe our primary recruiting focus is first and foremost the carolinas, the dmv, and georgia. i think those are our recruiting hotbeds and rightfully so. no doubt texas is a fertile ground for recruiting football players, but that doesn't mean that we can't find just as many talented recruits closer to home. we already recruit "florida" which is even more fertile than texas. we don't need to go half across the country to texas to find talent. we've been very successful with the recruits we've brought in previously from the areas i mentioned above. if it ain't broke, don't fix it... Its broken we don't have defensive linemen.

Its broken we don't have defensive linemen. that's only because of transitioning from one coaching staff to another. coach brown had not been able to set up his own recruiting program cuz he was still trying to fill his staff. we've never had trouble recruiting d-linemen before. we shouldn't have to rely on "texas" to find d-linemen, there's plenty in our primary areas of recruiting. as i've said previously, coach brown gets a "pass" on his first recruiting class just as coach broadway did when he was first hired. coach broadway's first recruiting class was "very small", maybe about 10 players. give coach brown a "full year" to bring in his own recruits with a "full staff" of assistants helping out, he didn't have a "full staff" in place prior to having to recruit this season. now, if he isn't able to sign some nt's next year, then that's a problem but texas still would not necessarily be the answer. again, all the recruits we'd ever need can be found in the states i mentioned. sure, we also recruit outside of those states such as florida and new jersey where tuten came from. but there no "magic wand" that says texas recruits will come flocking to greensboro. we stand a better chance of landing kids "closer to home". most recruits do wanna get away from home, but they don't wanna go so far away from home that their families cannot attend their games and that's exactly the case for recruits from texas. so to me, stay the course. we stand a far better chance of landing recruits closer to greensboro than recruits half way across the country, not to mention its a lot "less expensive"...

Its broken we don't have defensive linemen. A&T should continue to recruit Texas in the same manner that they have always recruited recruited Texas. You are only taking about maybe one ,two or three players at the most and they would have to be 4 or 5 🌟 level players . You can find 3 🌟 Athletes with in our geographical region . There are too many variables to consider when recruiting athletes and moving them that far from home ,one of the main problems is "Homesickness " and family emergencies. Yes Texas is fertile recruiting ground, but so is Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Virginia, DC, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Tennessee and Ohio and West Virginia and the list goes on . Texas is being recruited . Also Hampton has at least 6 football athletes on their team . How is that working for them 🤔😕😐😑😳. Coach Brown knows where to look for the type of athletes he wants . So let's just let him do his thing in his Regional demographics before we started running out the Texas.

Our greatest need has yet to be recruited from local sources, I'm sure Coach knows this. Do you think he's neglected what he needs? I think that he hasn't found them through local sources, recruit Texas!

Truthfully this is an evaluation season in my opinion especially for the defensive lineman, because he really didn't have a recruiting season for the program due to the time he was hired. Again we are recruiting Texas also again there will be players in the portal, juco's, High School grads that will be available and hopefully they'll possess the qualities that Coach Brown is looking for.
