I added 3 players to the tentative MBB roster. Not all of these players can be on scholarship since only 13 players can be on scholarship by NCAA rules. I show that we have 16 players on scholarship with 2 walk-ons. Garrison Powell may not be on the team based on A&T MBB website. ncataggies.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster |

There are only 4 holdovers from last year - Duke, Robinson, Hamilton (walk-on), and Felton. Everyone else is brand new.

The current A&T MBB website supports this as well, but it is incomplete which is why I question whether Garrison Powell is still on the team. I have not seen any information that he transferred or left school. We still would have 15 scholarship players on the above tentative roster with him gone. |

I would give up trying to figure out who's on scholarship and who's not. Since this is a rebuild and a scholly is only a one year commitment, the whole team is wet clay for the next two years. |

I would give up trying to figure out who's on scholarship and who's not. Since this is a rebuild and a scholly is only a one year commitment, the whole team is wet clay for the next two years. Knowing who is on the team and who is on scholarship should matter to "many, but not all" fans regardless of season. It helps to temper expectations when evaluating a player's development and commitment as well as a coach's recruiting skills, retainment of players, focus on player's education, development, etc. Granted, we as fans don't necessarily need to know this information "right now", but it brings value to discussions as changes occur throughout the season and from year to year. This is a harmless (possibly poor) tracking effort by me, similar to someone tracking how many transfers or grad students are on this year's team or how many years of eligibility each player has remaining. I originally took this on only due to how many players we lost last season and a curiosity of how well we would do in recruiting top talent in such short notice. Typically, I wait until the official roster is posted or the start of the season. |

It is kind of hard to believe they would leave him off the current official website roster which at this time list only returning players from last season. |

Does anyone know why they have not updated the MBB roster for 23/24?The ladies roster has been out for over a month.
