It seems like we have a TON of offers out this year. Is that more than usual or are they just being more publicized than they were in the past? If we have more offers out, how many more? Twice as many, 10 more, a few more...?
If we do have more offers out, is it because the new staff is beating the bushes real hard, did they get a drastically increased recruiting budget (that would be my guess), or some combination thereof?

In my opinion we still are not offering enough. We seem to be consistently late on local kids until they have already picked up multiple P5 offers.

A lot of offers but there are two types Verbal and Commitable. Commitable means can I sign right now ...

i'm more concerned with "commitments" than offers. hail, absolutely make as many offers as necessary but its the "commitments" that mean the most...

I would assume we all are, but I started this thread cause I was just curious about all the offers. Like I said, I didn't know whether this was out of the ordinary for us.
It would actually surprise me if any of them actually committed. Historically I haven't seen many folks who tweeted that we offered say another thing about us lol.

Most programs do this (Flood Recruiting) with hope of getting the players by position, that they really want the most . 1= top tier recruits ( could be a starter from the jump ) 2= second tier recruits..i.e that are just as good . If we don't get so an so . Could be an exceptional backup/ possible starter in case of injury 2= 3rd tier and below project developmental players but they may be better as the season progresses to move up to level two . You flood level One and Two (priority players) aggressively, not so much aggressive recruiting three and below (Cool recruits) Hopefully A&T will get as many level 1 & 2 level players the 3 and below. After weighing their other offers .

This is pretty much the same as what every coaching staff does this time of year. It's called recruiting. You identify prospects and make offers.
The only difference is that kids are now telling you they got an offer directly on social media instead of telling rivals.com or some other scouting website.

From what I can glean from the responses it’s no more than usual, it’s just now (seems like this year in particular) the kids are tweeting every last offer and/or were posting every last tweet on the site.

The pace and the depth of our recruiting has increased considerably than in previous seasons. You can attribute that (1) changes in NCAA rules regarding unlimited official visits for potential student-athletes (along with inclusion of parents on those visits as well) (2) to a different philosophical approach as to how we will be recruiting going forward and (3) the massive use of social media, three things that we, the A&T fan base, are unaccustomed to.

I get all the rule changes and cultural changes. Can someone ease my mind on why we have 5,600 offers and none committed?

That's just how recruiting works if done right. You flood and hope you catch the right fish. Especially when you're starting late in the recruitment process window.
Brown will get the players that are needed.
