to me, an offer doesn't necessarily mean a full ride, it could mean a "partial" scholarship or even a "preferred walk-on" offer. however, when my daughter was being recruited outta high school, the expectation was that she'd get a full scholarship from every school that she was brought in for an "official visit". probably every d1 school that brings you in for an expense paid "official visit" has a definite scholarship available for that recruit... Sent from my SM-G950U using proboards There are different levels of offers. Hot and Cool . Your correct. Hot offers receive priority treatment/ scholarship slots. I think people get confused when they see the young man or lady was offered thinking that they are locked into a scholarship, but that is not always the case. The offer is just like a commitment it can be pulled or rescinded at any time . That is why I don't get excited when a player says that they received an offer and that they are committed. If they have not signed a NLI. The player and the institution are just rolling the dice 🎲.
