I’m sorry but Campbell had a 3-8 season and was number two in recruiting. All the rest of their seasons were similar. So does Gardner Webb, NCCU even landed a couple of 4 stars ..
We should not make excuses. The record clearly is not everything. We have to think about on a serious level how we are perceived in the football world. What story are we telling. What story is a 3-8 Campbell telling who has a 5k seat stadium in the middle of no where .. what are they selling …
I am concerned that there is a different environment and we are not in the best platform to capitalize. We have to rethink this. If they are going to the likes of Campbell and the others are going to the likes of Grambling and JSU where does that leave us. That is a serious question. It’s one I hope the marketing team and Athletic department is working together to addesss.
“Protect the brand” cannot just be a slogan .. we actually have to do it.

My question (I honestly don't know) is where was the class that went 12-0 ranked? Or any of our 10-2 classes?

They weren't. Recruiting class rankings are an eye candy test for the fans. It generates clicks.

And to be fair, much of this staff developed the Aggies that made it to the NFL. That has to account for something. They didn't just wake up one day and forget how to coach. 🤷🏿♂️ True That 👍 That is the level that they should get back to the development of NFL feeder talent levels.
You do realize that A&T has a butt load of 3 🌟 players already . And that maybe the problem with having all of these 🌟 rated players 😆 I gives some coaches a sense of false security that coaching them up will not be a challenge. If NDSU can win there first few FCS ships with 1-2-3 and none players why can't A&T do the same . That reasoning right there is why I am worried about our coaching staff and so should you in my opinion that is . It's all about the Coaching. I am not worried about coaching I believe ours are as good as any. I’m just concerned like I always am - on optics and perception.. I am worried after ten years of HBCU dominance, consistent fcs top 25 team and in the media we are not pulling in more higher level recruits. I understand development but what’s wrong with developing 3-4 star recruits vs 1-2 star recruits 💁🏿. We have an incredible story - the schools that are beating us don’t have half what we have. It just frustrates the hell out of me. I’m going to apply to be a recruiter.. ain’t no way.. lol
www.ydr.com/story/sports/high-school/football/2022/02/10/york-high-senior-football-player-commits-north-carolina-a-t/6734356001/York High football coach Russ Stoner remembers a group of his seniors making a pact before their freshman year. Stoner said the teenagers agreed they would "do things right in the classroom" throughout high school. Steven Roland-Washington lived up to that pact. And it helped him earn an opportunity to play Division I football and chase his professional passion. A tight end and defensive lineman for York High, Roland-Washington accepted a preferred walk-on offer at North Carolina A&T State University last week. But the senior has earned an academic scholarship and will study electrical engineering at the school. The son of an electrician, Roland-Washington already interned in the profession and wanted to study electrical engineering. He was also a National Honors Society member with a 3.9 GPA and 12 college credits from Harrisburg Area Community College. According to his mother, Sherry, he was accepted to 41 different colleges. That versatility helped him during his recruitment. North Carolina A&T is bringing him in to play fullback and H-back.
