Well said AggieOne! It just seems to me we can recruit good talent but, we cannot get them on the field...at least as of late meaning the past two seasons. I have a hard time getting past the fact that we go to a game with impact players out of the game and nobody has a clue. I know yall are tired of hearing me say this but, WE JUST HAVE TOO MANY IMPACT PLAYERS ON OUR TEAM NOT PLAYING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So that your team doesn't miss a beat when one goes down . Even the 4th should be able to play exceptionally . I think last season was a fluke injury wise especially on the inside D line .

What impact players were not playing? Are you also saying a 3rd string player ( who is likely a freshman ) should at this stage of his career be an impact player?

Don't read into my statement Read my statement. What I'm saying is any player in the Top 3 in a rotation. Should not create a drop off in production on the field freshman or not . You stated that we had a number of "impact players" that were on the sideline not I. The only position that I can remember that happening to was in our defensive line where we had Defensive Ends playing inside for whatever reason because of the shortage or unavailability of interior defensive lineman .

I'm glad you said "should". That said, I expect virtually every time you go down from the #1 there will be a drop off in production in some way or another. It's just the way it works...overwhelmingly. As examples, the production of the DEs behind McDanuel and Harrell was noticeable, though the backups did pretty good.

What I should have said is there shouldn't be that much of a significant drop off between the top 2-3 or 4 if we are deep enough to have those Alabama type of numbers on the D line.

Talking his defensive preference and recruiting focus. I am sold on this guy and excited. I like the fact that he's not going to micromanaged the defense. All I want is a QB coach that is not part of the offensive coordinator. If he bring one in me and E&J will eat and kick back for the playoff!!!!!!!

It appears you may get your wish. Chris Young changed his handle on his twitter page from Elon to being A&T's new QB coach this evening. No mention by him about being named the offensive coordinator as earlier reported by The Scoop a couple of weeks ago.
