That was not the point I was making. .. of course they know we come from an hbcu.. but they have no clue what hbcu culture is about and how we can get down if it comes to that. I made this clear after the sentence you copied and pasted if you would have kept reading. your words, you said " HPU does not know we come from an hbcu culture." perhaps you could've worded it differently if you meant that hpu has "no clue what hbcu culture is". that's totally different. however, i'm quite sure that they know that a&t has a large fanbase that travels well and we could've "packed" their arena. i'm pretty sure they knew that...

You guys are saying the same thing. Oleschool, I think you just misunderstood his words. He's in agreement with you.

And in all fairness, we should hold an "Aggie Spirit Night" on Wednesday, February 23rd and no tickets will be sold on non-Greensboro residents (DL required) in advance of the game. Blue & Gold Aggie attire required.
I'm still pissed off about this Jim Crow stunt. This makes almost less sense than what Aggie2039 was talking about. Why would we sacrifice our own revenue just to get back at HPU? They dont have any fans that are coming to Corbett anyway. I bet we could if we really made an earnest effort to promote and market. I've always said that we need to get to a point where we have very few football and basketball tickets to sell the visiting teams. Plus, it looked like we had a more-then-decent crowd at the Hampton game.I don't know if it was 80% students or what...but that Club Corbett Wednesday night crowd wasn't bad.

A few things.......HPU's unwillingness to sell us tickets may be semi-petty, but not racist. I'm on their website right now......tickets abound for the Hampton women's game next week, as well as their men's game vs Hampton at the end of the year. Irrespective of how some may feel about Hampton, they are an HBCU. If there was some type of bigoted slant, Hampton tickets would also not be available to the public. To be blunt, we are victims of our own reputation. Everybody knows Aggies travel. HPU ain't crazy. If that center was flooded with 2,000+ Aggies (WHICH WOULD'VE BEEN A HUGE POSSIBILITY), there would have been NO HOME COURT ADVANTAGE. I thought HPU students/fans were very vocal and helped fodder a home environment that helped get their team the W. If tickets would have been on sale, Aggies would've gobbled them up, embarrassed HPU's representation in its own building.....and they would've likely loss. Another thing - CHECK THEIR WEBSITE ---- br1.glitnirticketing.com/brticket/web/ev_list.php1) THEIR GAME VS UNC-A HAS NO TICKETS AVAILABLE FOR SALE! Last time I checked, UNC-A ain't an HBCU. 2) THEIR WOMEN'S GAME VS WINTHROP HAS NO TICKETS AVAILABLE FOR SALE! Last time I checked, Winthrop ain't an HBCU either. Leave the racism/Jim Crow slants out of it. It doesn't fly here.

One other thing......Saturday night......I made it up in my mind that there was no way in hell I wasn't going to get into that game the other night. Outside HPU's arena, I was asking HPU students if they had any tickets for sale. A white dude, who was a student there, turned me on to this brotha, also a student, who had a wad of student vouchers. Both the white dude and black dude helped me get into the Arena......AND I WAS DECKED OUT IN AGGIE GEAR. They didn't even ask me for money or nothing.
I'm just saying all of this for a few reasons: 1) If you truly wanted to get into the game this past weekend, you could have found a way 2) Both a while male and black male student from High Point helped me get in the game FOR FREE.
As far as I'm concerned, I ain't got no problems with HPU.....other than wanting to beat their tails in sports.

I just thought about this. If Hampton does indeed make the immediate jump will their new CAA scheduling end up affecting our 2022 homecoming foe since Hampton is slated to play us for GHOE this fall? Just thinking out loud here. hail, i've already made my ghoe hotel reservations! fortunately my deposit is refundable but a lot of hotels don't do that if you've guaranteed your reservations. hopefully if they leave, it won't be effective until next season 2023... If Hampton causes you not to come to Homecoming? Never mind.

Could Davidson be on the radar as football only. They have a basketball program that does not need the big south , but they did make the playoffs this year. I am not sure how good they are because they also only beat Shaw because Shaw missed the 2 pt conversion at the end of the game.
I really am torn - part of me wants to stay but the other part of me says this circus is worst than the meac. We saved this conference by coming and now they are in the same boat first year in. I have a feeling it’s always going to be like this.
Robert Morris has no legitimate reason to be in this conference. They will be gone soon. They really could play in the NEC or Patriot and it would make more geographical sense.
How many more teams are out there that will come to big south knowing that the conference is in a constant state of chaos?

AS, You still seem to think this was all about football. It wasn't. If it had been, do you think we'd give up those CB checks on a whim?

That is good information about the UNC Asheville game tickets not being unavailable to the public also.
It appears that Aggie2039 wasted everybody's time by not doing his proper research. lol

It makes the Dean Dome and Cameron Indoor Stadium look like Moore Gym. That place is flat out nice. Concourse areas - magnificent. Gift shop in the arena - beautiful. Every seat is cushioned. Not a bad seat in the house. HPU is ahead of the game....

Was thinking the same thing. Need to be calling Winston or a CIAA school now. I didn't see a need for the AD or coach to make a statement/press conference because of a 5-6 season. But I do see a need for one, due to the conference instability (football). Why would we play WSSU for GHOE?

Robert Morris isn't going anywhere. No one wants them that's why they are in the Big South for football. Their school is in Western PA. No one is interested in that market. Robert Morris left the NEC for the Horizon league. The NEC wouldn't let them stay football only, that's why they ended up in Big South. The only move for Robert Morris is Patriot or NEC. NEC doesn't want them and neither does Patriot
